dfq was talkin about whether it worth listing or not?

If no one is going to list a VP, then there putting an order on one is a waste.

Preordering pearl  items is not pay to win for the person making the preorder but it is supporting and condoning pay to win for the players posting said items and thereby converting real money into game currency, which by your own words IS pay to win. Logic is not your strong point evidently.

It may just be that im an older gamer but i have always and only considered P2W as paying money for things that make your character stronger than other players that cant attain your level of power without paying real money themselves.

So to me, paying real money for in game currency is not P2W. It just makes things easier.

So exchanging cash for silver is not P2W because it's the missing the additional step of purchasing an item from the market place that "makes your character stronger".

But if you bought that item directly it would be P2W.

Incorrect. if say there was a Best in slot item that could only be purchased with real money its pay to win ... If it is just an item that anyone can buy regardless of how they got the ingame money to purchase it, is NOT pay to win.

P.S. I don't agree with or like the concept of purchasing in game money with real money, however, I don't consider it P2W.

You are just wrong though.  Iv'e already explained this in other discussions multiple times.

You are referring to a Pay WALL in which contents can't be obtained without payment.  Characters, Equipment, Perks, Unlocking otherwise restricted content.

P2W is paying for a winning advantage.

The terms really do just speak for themselves.

Like I said, it may just be that im older and grew up with a different definition of P2W, but I don't agree that spending real money to get something faster (or easier) is P2W.

The age has nothing to do with the definitions.  They meant the SAME thing 30 years ago there was just far less of it.

You don't get to say "bigger" actually means "smaller" because that's your personal definition of the word.

Seriously, I think there's a ancestral spell cast on the acronym "P2W". As soon as one uses it, most participants only want to impose their own definition and they don't care about the problems that come with it.

Let's say that a "Supreme authority" brings an undeniable definition of what "P2W" is. In the end, BDO is clearly defined as "P2W" (or not, that's not the point...)

What would it change? Does it change anything about the fact that any paying item that is not purely cosmetic comes with the risk of modifying the condition of the competition, even slightly, and may influence devs so that they design the game to implement mandatory inconveniences to then be able to sell the "solution" ?

And I didn't even talk about the hidden gambling of the game.

At this point do we really care if BDO is "P2W"?

Yeah age have nothing to do with that. It's the literal definition of the P2W.

Sure in other games, where you can not buy decent gear for ingame currency (like in older wow expansions) it's not that big of an issue.

But in bdo you can buy most of the items for silver.

You may not care, but others do.  Also P2W is ANTI PVP.

It's by DEFINITION ANTI COMPETITION

Duplicate an item !!!!!!!!!!!!!! == bannable offense, not acceptable

Purchase a duplicated item == that's fair they probably didn't have the time or effort to put into the game ROFL
