I took a look at the current equipment and all the steps involved in advancing forward.  A simple example is PEN Distortion's.  I did a quick comparison to what would be required to upgrade to the new accessories.  If I enchanted from scratch I could gather the mats get a base accessory and start the enchantment process.  Farming hard for upgrade materials daily, making sure to have enough Crons to safe enchant, and all other associated requirements.

It would need to be near end game accessories to even see the first sign of any progress.  Planning out months of time to play daily.  Dealing with the RNG, and eventually one day I would get there.

However, during all this time there would not be a single system of any sigificance to help throughout this process.  No skill upgrades, enhancements, levels, stat points, alternative advancement.  Just months of time spent on the persuit of getting an end game accessory.

There is a much easier way to go about this.

I don't need to waste my time on any of this.  I can just as easily just not play the game and go do something else.

It would be far easier to get to 3,500 Gear Score in a system which actually rewarded the customer for their time and effort.  In which progress was seen on a daily path.  Sharing the time in parties, with guilds.  It's NOT the time involved that is the problem.  It's how poorly it's all constructed and just isn't an enjoyable experience.

Considering how easy it is to get Karazad to Pen compared to TET Debo accessories, I will take it any day over a system that sends your loot to the guild and then guild can totally decide for someone else to have it or have a DKP system and you have to treat the game like a job. 

I am happy to cron sink to DEC over that system.

You don't judge a system by comparing it to the worst possible creations.  I'm currently playing a game that as far as I'm aware of has literally no level or stats caps.  There are players well over level 1,000 and someone hit me for 3x my max hp in a single hit.  It's not an issue at all because I make progress every single day.

I played BDO for months straight several hours a day and gained nothing.  No levels, no skill points, no gear score change.  That design is inferior and less fun.

I'll play the equivelant of getting 10 DEC Karazad Rings in a good game without any issues.  Because the journey will be will be worth it.  Value, content, reasons.  BDO's design is just terrible.  It's cash shop trash.

As a bad example you could play RPG MO forever.  It's not that bad of a game for a simple old school 2d MMO.  However, in the end you would spend 90 hours for a stat point then 120 hours then 150 hours, 190 hours, 250 hours.......until all progression is broke and you would spend 9 months for a stat point.  (Which you need like 5 to even get 1 pt of dmg).  So years of grinding for 1 dmg point.

BDO is essentially a fake system.  Advertised as no level cap and long term grinding.  Yet 8 years later 1 player reaches level 70.  That's just not going to cut it.  Players that log in every day need better goals and more refined progression across all aspects of the game.

There are indie devs making IDLE games that are 100X better progression systems than BDO.

Omy gear score, character level. There is absolutely nothing to press gear score. If you can not do the highest level of content at 310,405. Then you need to practice your characters talent maybe watch some youtub videos. The highest level item gear wise is just there. If not having the highest level item makes you sad. The kinda thing I can`t have the highest level item in the game. Then ya you should probably play some console game you can get end game. This is an MMO if you could beat the game easily it would not still be around.
