Recent Update: Increase the value of AFK fishing by a substantial amount

New Shop Item - Obtainable ONLY in the cash shop: Permanently Increases AFK fishing income with exp, mastery, reduced time (intervals)

This is type part of the "hidden" P2W not often discussed.  Such as buying additional workers that have provided additional income for players for years.

Recent Update: We all suffer together

The market place is being forbidden for nearly all end game equipment.  Everyone will need to suffer through the upgrade systems as the direction is to remove Sov, Kaz and potentially more items from the market place.

This doesn't sound like an honest attempt to improve the game.  It sounds more like maintainence mode where the updates turn into cash shop sales each week and not much else.

sorry i could not care about some shitty backpack with worse buffs than the free lifeskillsscrolls i stack up in my storage for no reason.

Absolutely disgusting behavior from the devs imo. It's basically "pull out your wallet for free pen manos". And with nothing even remotely close obtainable via gameplay, it's worse than the tent and fishtank combined. Exactly the kind of greedy mentality I hate to see in a game.

For me the thing I hate the most about it is that it makes the interface even uglier. You either don't buy it and have an empty slot, or you do buy it and have one yellow slot while the rest are orange. Just really stupid all around. Not suprised about the P2W which while complaint worthy, I don't have it in me anymore as it's obviously not changing if they're still going that way even when the game is at a low point.

the electricity and useless wear on your system is not worth the afk fishing. also, when the box event ends fishing will suck once again. 
and honestly, if they want to make fishing profitable they should go for an active method. not mobile game afk mechanics. 

This depends on how it's being done.  An "AFK machine" can be running several other applications/games in which BDO tray is simply an extra task.  AFK fishing is only part of the equation.  Energy is acquired, materials, timers for events, dice etc.

It's not that this alone breaks the system is more of the message PA is sending.  If you break down each P2W almost nothing on it's own is an issue.  The ideology behind this is how can we squeeze money without actually doing the work needed.

The profitability is also never calculated correctly.  The numbers are almost always calculated by assuming level 2 scrolls, and other limited resources.  The actual silver/hr if you remove all the temporary/cash shop items is actually quite low.

This is also a very difficult bonus to access.  It's essentially permanent.  For anyone leaving the game running 24/7 they will be raking in quite a few billion every week in combined income for nothing.

Also a lot of these balacing changes take more time to type up the short notes than to actually update the game.  If you manually type in a URL you are doing more work than a damage modification.  As a hobyist developer I'm very familar with the aspects of game development.  Even changing the movement distance on skills or the speed is a simple number change.

Replicating BDO's combat system is trivial in Unreal 5.4.  (Unless you just farm millions off the Lineage 2 nostalgia and use the Unreal Engine to reproduce Lineage 2 tab targetting!) Here is laughing at you Alpha players ;)

They are making it where the game is on autopilot. I don't think even doing AFK fishing in BDO is worth running my electricity bill up to do it. Game is running out of ways to tag player's pockets but will slowly and surely introduce edge items for people still thinking they need these items to do activities that they are 100% AFK ( Make it make sense, PA).

Yes, you can already auto path, questing in BDO is just like mobile games, you can AFK process, AFK fish, AFK horse train, AFK train combat exp, AFK workers, AFK work shops, AFK strength train.
