Not having 1+1 pearl bundles, and not having a Value Pack + Kamasylve Blessing + Old Moon book discounted bundle, with coupons that are useable on them is going to save me money this year. I was already on the fence about buying another year's worth of what I call your "subscription" items because this is the only time where they're reasonably priced enough that I'd actually buy them. Last year I got 360 days of each for a price that would be similar to a year's subscription to any other MMO. This year though you seem to have opted out of providing a means of purchasing them for a price that isn't stupid. So it seems like you're trying to save me money and I appreciate it. Thank you PA.

I agree with supporting a company that works hard to make a game I like to play.

It's awesome that they update things weekly.

But 90% of these updates ruin my experience when playing this game, so I stopped dumping money into this game over the past couple of years.

I think a lot of people do likewise, hence PA's constant attempts and ideas to squeeze as much money out of us, such as all the p2w mechanics that they're pushing these days.

One thing I loved back when I started playing nearly 5 years ago was the lack of p2w and gacha cannibal tactics of devouring items to make better ones (smash 2 Blackstars together at a bird statue, and you get the God Weapon!!!)  And..... ugh, Dehkia fuel......

This game is dying, and they need to get as much money from us as possible.  Not surprised to see no 1+1 pearl deals.......

There's a couple more weeks of this Black Friday sale... they might have some 1+1 pearl boxes released. That's what I wait for as well.

Rumor has it the last quarter alone PA is -$15,000,000 (Comparison to prior).

(-5.6M loss vs 10M revenue)

PA is looking into the issue and trying to prevent this.  They are willing to do near anything.  With the exception of a small list

Exception List:

Hard work, dedication, providing long term content, comitting to any target audience

Listening to the customer base

Paying a miniscule amount of fund on experts in gaming

New management

However, they will stand by a long term commitment to stay on track

More class releases

Idle game play

Crontent

An active marketting team working hard to implement new P2W strategies

Personally, I have no idea why it's just not working.

So ironic, a carebear complaining about how they killed the product.
Comical post by the way.

This was hidden by admin due to the reports it has received.

Public Enemy was setting this straight before most BDO players where born!

"Don't believe the hype"

The "Carebear" reference would only be applicapable to OWPVP.  It's something the PVPers like to use because when you have no argument you will leach onto anything you can.

In other words BDO failed for 100 reasons and highly pertained to things like Siege Changes and Node Wars.  However, THAT isn't a very good argument for OWPVP.  So they try to lump everything together.  The age of the game, the lack of actual content, crontent, competitors, the fact that end game players have not gained a skill point or level in years.

No no, it's all due to the OWPVP.  But HOLD UP!!! Didn't Marni Realms release a long time ago?  Didn't the mob feeding prevention go back a ways?  That's not the RECENT collapse of the game.

The Siege Changes, Lack of Diversity, Lack of Content, are the more RECENT issues.

So as they say, it's so easy

"DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE"

The issues surrounding Siege Changes, lack of diversity, and lack of content are not newly emerged problems; they have existed since the game's inception. It really depends on whom you talk to about it. If these issues weren’t present seven years ago, the current player base would have surpassed 100,000.

As for Black Desert Online, despite its strengths, my discussions usually center around the combat mechanics. The questlines from seven years ago were subpar, and today's content has improved only slightly, going from garbage to merely five-day-old milk. Seven years back, the systems designed to extract money from players were blatant, and while they have improved for new players, the overall experience remains frustrating.

The imbalance in skills, with many offering super armor, has only worsened over time. What was already problematic has transformed into a complete mess. I could keep going on this.

In the past, we didn’t have Marni Realm or split servers with Elvia. We had fewer grinding spots, and the open-world PvP you often lamented was all we had to stave off the monotony of grinding at Desert Fogans. I can't even count how many times I lost XP due to dying from desert heat at the respawn point near Desert Fogans, where we used to have large guild-versus-guild battles.

Those days, we transitioned from Desert Fogans to Hystria, then to Trees, and ultimately to Stars' End and Turos. Every major grinding spot seemed to end in some conflict, often due to someone entering my grinding area and declaring "spot taken." Flagging would lead to fights, which would escalate into guild battles, particularly during world boss events like those for Kzarka, Karanda, and Garmoth.

Over the years, some players went "red" and formed red guilds, while others ended up defeated by powerful players like Android 18 and his team of tamers. We even had a "BDO navy" that harassed every guild in the game.

This may not be your preferred style of PvP, but it was the core of BDO’s PvP dynamics. To me, it represented nostalgia and freedom. I often found myself behind in gear, and my guild was small—just about 10 players over the last seven years—but we never shied away from a fight, even when we were outnumbered. I wouldn’t dwell on those experiences the way you do; it’s my story, and I miss it every day since the game lost its direction last year when a fundamentally flawed element—one that many of you found humorous—was removed: one-sided declarations of war.

Truthfully, this game has never recovered from that change. Every subsequent adjustment has only added insult to injury. The past 15 months have led to a decline, as players have lost faith that the developers truly care. When they shouted, "don't change Node Wars," it was too late to turn back.

I’ve heard that Choice and Divios have approached PA to discuss future changes. From what I’ve read about their communication, if those changes aren’t implemented fully, there may not be a future for BDO. Once Crimson is released, BDO could face its end due to the developers' continued disregard for player feedback.

I can accept the reality of it you can't.  I can comprehend it you cant'.  Your nostagligia glasses prevent you from seeing the reailty.  What you are saying is Super Mario Bros is the best game ever!! It's so amazing.  If only everyone could be 12 years old again experiencing it on the arcade for the first time!!!!!

Those aspects of the game while true died many many years ago.  I can't even remember what year it was the last time I saw a actual large scale OWPVP battle.  So long ago those are NOT the reasons for the recent collapse of the game.

All the PVPers like to ignore the fact they could have everything they CLAIM they want right now, but it's their own fault for not making it happen.  Remember our clan rallying up to fight over that spot?  Yeah WE WILL NEVER DO THAT ON ARSHA, PERIOD.  We will never make it happen.  We will talk about it to no end, but we will NEVER take action.

You skip the years of the grief fest.  The years of players that got accustomed to just taking the best Stars End spots and Red Orcs.  The years of playing broken classes and trying to mob feed or 1 way dec players out of spots already occupied.

You IGNORE all the reasons PA was FORCED to prevent PVP in nearly aspect of the game.  You mention nothing about shutting down PVP on world bosses because it was problematic and unwanted.

OWPVP died because the so called PVP community was to cowardly to go onto servers CATERED to their very existance.  If you like 1 sided dec in any way shape or form Arsha is a perfectly crafted dream!!!  In reality it's always been a complete failure.

BDO is just now facing some of it's biggest problems.  It's been a bad game for a game long time.  It was just the best movie of the summer because everything else was pure trash and couldn't even stay online.  BDO faced no competition for years.  That's another huge part of the collapse and hopefully it gets much worse.

A few more great games on the market will be better for everyone despite whatever happens to BDO.  BDO isn't going to be saved by any PVP nostalgia.

Again as i stated this is my story.. NOT YOURS.

Obviously you had a far different experience playing BDO than I did. You also have Obviously taken being bothered or killed to a very personal level.

I don't have to see things through your lens, nore am I trying to convince you to do anything. I simply state my experience and you choose to run me down tell me I am wrong... that i didn't have any of those experiences or I have no clue to the serious flaws of the game.

No mater how you discuss this the fundamentals of what WAS black desert online no longer exist in our current model. For most of us this shell of a game is more of a prison of sorts, some of us hang on in hopes that things change for the better others like yourself spend massive amounts of time coming into the forums with the same message and calling anyone that don't agree with you liar or a low IQ clown.

Again the proof is in the numbers... BDO has been in a decline since August of last year now to the tune of 10+ million in losses this quarter which also includes the lose of a majority of the PVP community yah know those pesky small % of players that you guys say don't matter and need to leave.

This lose is not just in NA but across all servers.. now that players are gone.. it is going to take some serious effort to get them to come back......if they ever willl...
