The Illusion of Listening: Feedback Neglect in BDO

It's becoming increasingly apparent that forum posts in this game are often neglected. While PA occasionally implements a suggestion from the community,it's usually something minor or irrelevant rather than addressing more significant concerns. These changes are often presented as evidence that PA values player feedback, but this approach feels more like a superficial gesture than a genuine effort to engage with the community's priorities.

Many meaningful suggestions seem to be acknowledged but ultimately ignored, leaving players feeling unheard. It's clear that PA monitors the forums and is aware of the issues raised, but the lack of tangible change is disheartening. To the remaining adventurers of BDO and future forum contributors, best of luck in continuing to advocate for the improvements we all hope to see.

Note: Why did you have to completely kill PvP in this game :).

Another part of the problem you mention above is that this forum is only viewed/monitored by NA/EU GM's.  99.9% of the feedback never even makes it to the Korean team.

Unless some NA/EU GM would like to chime in on this...

Its a Korean MMO, they are not now nor ever going to listen to NA or EU.

The Enhancement system in this game is the most toxic thing Ive ever seen in a video game in 40year of gaming.

The value we players get for time investment is a bad joke when you think you've made a dent in progression your gear just ends up blowing up and your physically Forced to start at a point worse then you were orginally!  Combine that with the Constant Nerfs to good classes because PVP players cry more then the pve players instead of the Dev's just implementing different rules for PVP vs PVE and leave the PVE players alone but they wont do anything remotly close to that.

If they listened to the community they would of removed Crons and Durablility resulting in a enhancement system that Doesn't Punish players and then have the gull to slap them in the fucking face with telling them "oh you should buy this premium currency to repair your gear"

I for one am about done with this game in general a 286fs on a Pen Giath thats failed 14+ times and a Duo Falling God thats been blown up more times then i can count! because agris resets after you hit the fkn pitty system of 32 fucking fails

wrong, they have their own fixes that they do on by random (to keep their jobs) and occasionally it the same that we were complaining about and they act like they were listening in the first place.

According to some people who are quite knowledgable on the matter, the NA/EU team do actually communicate our suggestions to the Korean team and advocate for us, but the Koreans just don't give a flying crap. Despite NA/EU earning them substantionally more money than they are earning in Korea, they only focus on their Korean players and everyone else is just an additional cash cow for them. Koreans love to spend ungodly amounts of money on video games and openly approve of P2W in games.

PA is easily one of the most munnygrubby dev studios in the business. Their focus is only inward on their bank account. They only implement changes that directly affect their bottom line. Why is the item copy event not permanent? Because they want to sell transfer coupons Why are crons (one of the worst systems I've ever seen in a video game) still a thing? Selling costumes. Why do they do anything? To sell us something. They add new prize fish to sell us a new backpack item, but they can't be bothered to actually make the system player friendly. The royal workshops in Seoul are a complete waste time, but of course you have the option to P2W it. Instead of combining the value pack, Kama buff, and Old Moon buff into a single monthly subscription, they force us to spend $65 a month to maintain these buffs.

Bottom line: If our suggestions won't make them money, they will be ignored.

Correct, they earning 5 times more morey from NA/EU, look at prices and compare them, I strongly agree to stop spending money and wake up that what you've spend here give no further realistic progression. I was thinking about Throne and Liberty who was blamed that is p2w BUT, as a free player you'll have some fun for atleast 100h then where is too much paywall the solution is = QUIT, well here you'll have some fun as a new player for few hundred hours? Not so, right now you'll progress faster as a new player, maybe time eater are these quests and after getting boss gear then starting real progression, the end its blackstar, hell its game over and now I realise why they give for free TET and PEN blackstar: 1) For old players to upgrade bs into sovr to give a new chance/hope to game 2) To catch new players into this strategy and keep them on game as much as possible but when you start to enhancing bs to pen its just game over, 200 failstack TRI to TET = 10,8% /// TET to PEN 330 failstack = 6,8% chance, they cut the progression from beginning, don't want to talk about enhancing Sovr weapon how much silver needed and big big failstacks, with every success the chance are cut more then half and simple example is PRI to DUO sovr 100 failstack = 45% chance -> DUO to TRI 100 failstack = 22% -> TRI 100 failstack = 10% -> TET 100fs = 5% so every time you succeed you'll need to double the failstack.

What I'm saying is that if they don't do something to keep players equally in gear, there will be no PVP and even less they will not keep grinding in PVE or will not playing anymore, statistics proof. Every time we see that they give for free something is because loosing an important amount of players = money, end of story.

Even when a suggestion is (at worse) revenue-neutral and would help with player retention (thus boosting profits), it still gets ignored. Black Desert crashing and glitching a lot of the time alienates a lot of players. Yet these problems persist to this day, and when new content gets added, it often comes filled with persistant bugs.

SK is at this point possibly even more into cuthroat capitalism than the US so yeah, that stuff has now been ingrained in their culture for the past 30 years.  Make big money, spend big money.
