Suggestions/Comments: This proposal suggests improvements to sailor management, ship functionality, and ocean gameplay. Key features include sailor filters, sailors group presets, ship customization, functional ship elements, rare sea monsters, and enhanced underwater gathering. It also highlights the need for increased silver earnings, better sailing EXP, and mechanics to make ocean activities more rewarding and engaging.

--
Sailors:

Sailor Management Enhancements:

Add filters for sailors to streamline their management. Options could include:
- Show all sailors.
- Show sailors assigned to the current ship.
- Show idle sailors.
Many players resort to external tools like spreadsheets to manage sailors—this needs an in-game solution.
Sailor Group Presets:
Implement presets for sailor groups, allowing players to board/disembark entire groups with a single button.

Automatic Sailor Feeding:

Introduce an auto-feed system for sailors, similar to horse stamina or worker management.

--
Ship:

Prepare for Departure Button:
A single button to prepare a ship for sailing, handling:
- Ship repair.

- Gear repair.

- Character gear repair.

- Resupplying rations.

- Recovering sailor condition.

Functional Ship Lamps:

Enable lamps on the Carrack and other ships for practical use, rather than decoration.

Sailor Effects Toggle:

Allow players to toggle on/off the visual effects of sailors working on deck.

Passenger Seating:

Add interactive seating (e.g., benches) to "dock" passengers, preventing desync issues, similar to the crow's nest mechanic.

Ship Customization:

Introduce customization options, such as:

- Dyeable Carrack skins.

- Guild flags or thematic flags (pirate, trade, etc.).

Improved Embark Functionality:

Allow the "Embark" button for party/platoon members to work on nearby ships while players are in the water.

Functional Captain's Cabin:

Provide the captain's cabin with some meaningful utility.
Black Spirit and Marni's Palette Access on Ships:
Enable summoning the Black Spirit and using Marv's Palette while aboard a ship to improve convenience and functionality.
Shai Music Compatibility While Steering:
Allow summoning Shai characters to play music while holding the ship's steering wheel for seamless gameplay integration.

--

Sea:

Rare Sea Monsters:

Add more unique and rare sea monsters similar to Maretta to enhance ocean exploration.

Improved Underwater Gathering:

Introduce deeper sea gathering mechanics, possibly with new equipment like ship bells for deep dives.

---

Sailing:

Pearl Sailing Outfit:

Add a dedicated pearl outfit for sailing, akin to life skill outfits for training, farming, cooking, and alchemy.

Fix Desyncs for Ebenruth's Nol Users:

Resolve desync issues experienced by players using Nol.

Unlimited Bartering:

Remove or significantly increase the daily bartering limit. Current limitations, even with Crow Coupons, hinder gameplay. Allowing more bartering could improve both engagement and economic viability.

Loot Collection:

Increase the range for loot collection around the ship, allowing players to collect items from a greater distance without having to turn around or reposition their vessel constantly.

Improve Sailing EXP:
Allow faster and more dynamic skill progression through active gameplay by increasing sailing EXP from sea monsters, adding bonuses for navigating Margoria, and granting small amounts of EXP from bartering. This would reduce reliance on daily quests and make skill growth more engaging.

Boost Silver Earnings from Ocean Content:

Increase silver/hour from sailing and bartering to match PvE grinding, reflecting the significant time and investment required. Currently, activities like bartering and sailing yield far less silver per hour, with substantial time spent on resets and maintenance (e.g., 5-6 hours for around 1.2B/day, minus expenses). Boosting silver earnings for ocean-related activities would:
- Make life skills more rewarding and reduce the disparity with land-based PvE grinding.

- Encourage players who prefer ocean gameplay over repetitive land grinding.

currently sailing is the only skill that gets increased via daily quests faster than by some kind of grind

would be great to have additional life exp related to sailing and barter

more exp from killing sea monsters

more exp from sailing in margoria

relatively small trading exp from barters

relatively small barter exp from regular trading

this would allow to make these skills progress faster because now they are so slow

It been asked many times but have them put ship away at the dock that have not move after a lenght of time some sit for weeks and never move other then when we have Maint and it pop back in same place when the person that owens it logs on

Also make it so you get the same amount of xp for sailing bay water as out to sea it take about 6 hours to get bartering and sea quest done of that 5 hours is min you are sailing but you do not get the sailing xp if you sail stright for 5 hour. Why because of the starting and stopping it keep resetting the time your moving on the water. If people do not know sailing xp is mesure but a ship movment not how far they move. So you stop to barter and then the next stop might not be the distance needed to get your sailing xp and it restart again. The time between sailing out to sea to get your sailing xp is a lot shorter then it bay waters. So really when they said they added sailing xp for the bay water it feels just like when we started sailing you got 0 sailing xp for bay water.  You do a lot more sailing on bay water then out to sea water and it call sailing xp so why is it not the same.

I would love to see a barter overhaul('ish) otters are papu's are always "our goods are better" so why not let us weekly align ourselves with either the otter trade group or papu trade alliance for better perks that week anytime we barter with them. Heck there are a few groups we could have.

-Otters

-Papu

-Old Moon

-Goldmont Pirates

I would also like to see some sailies added out of LoMl that are for the panokseon (glue)

Agree, need long distance pets and it's still not optimal.

Same here!. Imagine my disappointment after spending so much time to get Nol, only to find out I can’t really use it. I can’t host sailies because everyone keeps falling off the ship. I can’t use the speed build because the ship is rubberbanding. I ended up taking a six-month break from the game.
