Preface : Every single interaction I've had to do with cooking and alchemy always felt like I spend most of my time looking through my warehouse/storage to get the right items and amounts, which is frustrating to say the least when you have a lot of different materials, all looking mostly the same.
Idea : We currently have two features in the game that would make cooking and alchemy much more accessible if combined.
1 > Known recipes are listed, allowing you to click one to automatically select the right ingredients and amounts from your inventory.
2 > The processing outfits Karki/Venecil allow you to process from storage and put the crafting results in your inventory.
By combining these we could end up with an upgraded crafting UI for cooking utensils and alchemy tools that allows you to automatically select known recipe ingredients and amounts from inventory and/or storage (based on some checked boxes, think storage/inventory silver when talking to a town shop/blacksmith) and put the crafting results in your inventory.
To be honest this change could even be paywalled in the cash shop as most QOL is, I'm sure that most that can would buy it in a heartbeat.
heyo, that sounds like a very good idea to me! esp telling cooking ingredients apart and making sure u have the right salt etc. in your inventory is annoying. it would save much time and i believe that many lifeskillers would gladly accept such an improvement even if it was p2w.
This change would be very helpful, i am doing cooking and the ingredients selection is indeed a bit annoying.
+1
And while you are at it PA, make the warehouse weight of all finished dishes (E.G.- BEER) reduced to 0.10 from 1.00
I've been asking for this since I've been playing the game. I've had the Venecil outfit for most of that time and love how I can process directly from the storage. It only makes sense the Canape outfit should be able to do the same.
