TLDR: It would be nice if there were toggles or some mechanic that gave us more control over what we hear in this game, concerning character voices and background music tracks.
So, as Deadeye was being released, I swore I had no use for her. Then my sister made one based off Mara Jade from Star Wars, and was having an obvious blast (no pun intended). She loves this class. So, I got the inspiration to make one based off of my Zabrak bounty hunter from SWTOR. It was perfect, and now I love this class. Yesterday she was slightly nerfed, but I didn't notice that much. What I did notice is that the snarky remarks she made with certain skills (fits my bounty hunter's personality perfectly) are no very infrequent. I think her voice as nerfed as well this last patch, or the rng was not at all in my favor. This makes her seem very dry and less fun.
Now to the point: I wish there was a toggle to control player character voices. Personally, I'd like to hear their voices with every skill, not random outbursts that might happen seven successive times and then there be 10 seconds here I don't hear a thing. It feels lame. I understand that some people find the voices to be very annoying, and find the current situation much to their liking, and that is fine. There should be three settings: Voices all the time, voices at random as is now, or muted. Everyone wins, as it should always be.
Now, the background music in this game really drew me in when I started playing in 2020. It was perfect. Awesome tracks placed in areas or situtations that really brought them to life. Now it's random junk for the most part, ever since that awful day, April 13, 2022..... And I really hate the game's theme tracks playing in game. I once loved them, but now hate them with a passion. They do not suit the areas or situations at all. So, since restoring the soundstrack to it's former glory would take work that PA obviously is not interested in doing, it would be nice if they could at least give us the option to skip to the next track, when we hear a song that makes our ears bleed. That sure beats me having to turn down the sound, or turn off the music altogether, as I have to in Mediah.
Sound is important to me when I play this game. There's so much awesome stuff here, just so horribly applied. With a little work, my experience could be made so much better.
Thanks for the game, PA, thanks for your hard work, and please do work hard to make this game good for everyone, not just certain select groups that you decide to listen to every so often.
Peace
