The Warrior class in Black Desert Online has long been a symbol of strength and resilience, but in its current state, it feels more like a relic of the past than the juggernaut it was meant to be. Both in PvE and PvP, Warriors are struggling to keep up with the ever-evolving meta, forcing many dedicated players to consider abandoning their beloved class. No player should feel pressured to reroll simply because Pearl Abyss has neglected a class that once stood as a cornerstone of the game’s design. It’s time for the community to stand united and demand the buffs the Warrior rightfully deserves.


In PvE, the Warrior’s performance is nothing short of disappointing. Trash loot income is abysmally low compared to other classes, making grinding feel like a chore rather than a rewarding experience. The cooldowns in the awakening skill tree are excessively long, and with such a limited selection of viable skills, Warriors are forced to constantly switch between pre-awakening and awakening forms just to keep up a consistent damage output. This constant toggling is not only inefficient but also disrupts the flow of combat, making the gameplay experience clunky and frustrating. Unlike other classes that can chain skills seamlessly, Warriors are left grappling with outdated mechanics and poor scalability.


PvP paints an equally grim picture. Once a formidable force on the battlefield, the Warrior now finds itself relegated to B-tier status. The class suffers from sluggish movement, making it nearly impossible to catch up to more agile opponents. The lack of iframes and the sparse availability of super armor leaves Warriors highly vulnerable, unable to effectively engage or disengage in fights. Compared to the Berserker class in Lost Ark, which boasts better survivability and offensive capabilities, the Warrior in BDO feels like a shadow of what it could be. The damage output is underwhelming, and the inability to reliably protect oneself or control the battlefield makes the class feel like an afterthought in Pearl Abyss’ balancing efforts.

It’s unacceptable for a class with such rich history and potential to be left in the dust. Pearl Abyss needs to recognize that neglecting the Warrior doesn’t just affect numbers on a balance sheet—it impacts a loyal player base that has invested time and passion into mastering the class. The Warrior deserves to be more than just a stepping stone for new players; it deserves to reclaim its place as a powerhouse in both PvE and PvP. It’s time for Pearl Abyss to listen to its community and give the Warrior the buffs it desperately needs.

After the DR/Eva patch came out Awakening warrior got indirectly gutted.

The result was that even though one requested change was brought to light, there was something like a "rework" of several skills in the awakening kit (and I still am wondering who came up with this idea). And while grinding at one spot, I noticed that I struggled to cancel several skill animations.

Ever since the awakening got those changes the class feels clunky. Compared to before in PvE I can't make the same trash amount I used to do and I rerolled to succession. In PvE Succ is just outclassing awakening right now.

Not to mention that sometimes I noticed that Burning Moxie doesn't work properly.

Knee kick remains as an useless skill.

Strongest grab in what way?

We have the longest grapple recovery animation if we miss, which is easily punishable. It takes longer for warriors to recover than a ninja/archer/tamer/striker/kuno/mystic/sage/corsair/lahn.

Our grapple is slower to trigger than tamer/ranger/striker/kuno/ninja.

Our range is shorter than sage/hash/ranger/striker/guardian/corsair/nova/lahn.

The duration is substantially shorter than zerker/striker/lahn.

The after effect is a bound, not a knockdown, unlike tamer/ranger/striker/mystic.

We have a single grapple instead of multiple grapples, unlike berserker/striker.

We cannot iframe into it unlike tamer/ranger/kuno/lahn.

We cannot literally shift+w into it like striker/zerker.

The unprotected portion of our grapple is longer than ninja/ranger/tamer/striker/kuno/mystic/sage/corsair/lahn.

Our grapple is perhaps the most balanced of all other grapple classes as a result. If anything, the other classes need to enter grapple with less protection, longer recover animations, shorter duration, and fewer grapples.

I have absolutely no idea how you came to the conclusion that warrior has the strongest grapple instead of the most basic grapple.

Dude, go to AoS against a warrior with any other class. Preferably without capturing. Then you will understand how you look from the outside. While you have buggy animations for all your skills and buggy movement, asking for some buffs for your class... you might as well ask for a buff for zerk. You are a broken class. I told main problem of your class. The rest of your points don't interest me.

Make one and play it. I think you'd be surprised how "broken" we really are. Also nice job dodging the other points that prove you have no idea what you're talking about. And what do you mean by "buggy"? Are you saying desync makes Warrior broken? Desync, really?

I have perhaps played more AoS games in every season than any other player in NA. Do you think I have not fought other warriors, somehow?

If you want to make this a subjective conversation, your position will be even more indefensible.

You said we have the best grab in the game. I am asking you a simple question. In what way is warrior grapple the best?

Actually, what is warrior *the best* at in any form of content in this game?

I agree with Zeroden, go make a warrior class and play it then get back to us. You will realize this "broken grab" you speak of is actually not broken. I get snowflakes like this guy don't want it buffed in pvp because you have several skill issue but PVE concept is so concerning.. I should not be forced to get a different class to farm my PVE sections because my current class that I put my hours into isn't performing because of PA.

This was hidden by admin due to the reports it has received.

Warrior's Based Grip-based Grip is actually not very Based at all and pales in comparison to pretty much every other class that has a grab.
