The fairy system is a great addition to the game, but achieving a top-tier fairy is locked behind RNG and real-money purchases. Players must either buy Theia’s Orbs from the Pearl Shop or completely restart their fairy when rerolling skills, making progression frustrating. In 2023, Orbs were frequently distributed through events, but this is no longer the case.

To make the fairy system more accessible , I suggest five alternative ways:

1. Second Fairy Slot
   Similar to Krogdalo’s Sanctuary, allow players to store and switch between two fairies instead of releasing one to be able to level another. This system could be grindable with pity mechanics, like the Spirit Essence pots.

2. Boss Drop
   Adding Theia’s Orbs as a world boss drop would encourage boss participation, similar to how Mythical Feathers revitalized Offin.

3. Laila’s Petal Exchange
   Since Laila’s Petals are already the core fairy-related item, exchanging 100 petals for 1 Theia’s Orb would be a fair trade.

4. Craftable Orbs – Alchemy Integration
   Making Theia’s Orbs craftable through Alchemy or giving an alternative item would provide a lifeskill alternative. Allowing crafted Orbs to be sold on the marketplace would further help the supply and boost Alchemy’s economy.

5. PvP-Friendly Acquisition – Red Battlefield
   During Calpheon Ball it was already announced that Red Battlefield is getting an overhaul, I believe that this system is one of the easier PvP content for PvE players and therefor am suggesting to add Theia's Orb as an exchangeable Reward for doing RBF.

The fairy system is an essential feature while working towards endgame, but its progression is currently too RNG-heavy and paywalled, a frustrating fact that has already led to several discussions in this forum. Introducing one of these alternative methods would make fairy upgrades more accessible.

I think in the past there was as well an idea about having "fairy garden" - basically the idea was to have possibility to level additional fairies in special slots to be able to see if one gains most desired skills. You'd still be able to use 1 main fairy, and you could free it permanently once u level up a better replacement in your fairy garden. This idea was long time forgotten.

It would be nice if QoL's updates come out faster, some systems are outdated as hell or feel predatory for wallet.

Indeed, the systems might just be a relative small piece of bdo-life but that doesn't make it less frustrating.
