I played on a brand new account today just to mess around. I took some notes of things I would like to see changed. Many of these problems do not exist late game of course, but we want new players and the game to not die.
* Default UI is insane. Remove alerts, hide the banners, only 1 chat. Too much text on the screen.
* Do not let people start in Land of the Morning Light.
* 5 Tier 1 Pets by default on log in.
* Naderr's Band unlocked by default. Give +1 from quest.
* Horse Auto Sprint should be default, not Professional 1.
* Consumables matter way too much and new players DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE.
- This can be fixed by implementing the previous post I made here: [Feedback] Rework buffing. Current design of 15-60-120 minute buffs is not a good system and it feels wasteful to do less than 1 hour of grinding. | Black Desert NA/EU
- By default players should start with a few hours of Simple Cron Meals. When the player runs out eventually you warn them of how much power the are losing without it. ex; "Visit the Central Market to restock on Simple Cron Meals! Consumables provide a large damage buff to your skills."
* Remove Naru Accessory enhancement. Make it clear that it is a waste of time to enhance. Just make their stats equivalent at base as a maxed one.
* DO NOT LET PEOPLE CRON TUVALA! Also make pity for Tuvala generic. Armors/weapons should share the same pity.
* Tuvala Accessories shouldn't be destroyed on fail. Make them derank like Kharazads.
* Give more REGULAR Black Stones from season and make it clear you can use them to make failstacks with them. You do not get enough low Advice of Valks to PEN all Tuvala.
* Storage sucks. Combine ALL region storage into one. Ex; Calpheon, Keplan, Port Epheria, Trent. Default 16 slots each, any storage in the region can access them as "Calpheon Territory Storage" instead of 4 separate ones. Players will be encouraged to go explore everywhere as talk to npcs (so they get energy) and unlock more storage.
* Increase the base "discovery distance" the map reveals are very small.
* Add +2 movement speed to all boots.
* Add +2 attack speed to all gloves. Early combat feels too sluggish. It feels like playing a different game, and not a fun one.
* Modify Skill Add-ons anywhere. When you unlock them every 2 levels past 50, you are signaling players that they should.
* Equip gear on horse.
* Combine all these reward screens into one UI. Log in rewards, season pass, everything. These systems need to be simplified.
* Add another tab on the Quest Menu for "FAMILY WIDE UNLOCKS," Pet Quests, Naderr Band, Family Inventory, etc. Important do once quests. They are buried in suggested.
* Add descriptions to the top of questlines give a summary of the unlocks. "Magnus" : "Help this dude with puzzles and unlock fast travel via the Abyssal Wells" "Rewards; PEN Boss Gear, Global Storage, ETC." Same for the AP and Crystal Slots for the other questlines. If all you see is "Contribution XP" as the only reward until you scroll down 150 quests, you aren't going to be excited to do it.
Well, there's my notes.
Some suggestions are good, especially the enchancement. And yes, no one should start at Loml. It's not connected to the story at all. Which is bad after Serendia....... (please fix, PA. Restore Calpheon II storyline, with Calpehon Shrine and Hexe Marie).
However, new players shouldn't be able to play like an intermediate or advanced player after playing for a couple of hours. They need to learn the game and get used to it slowly in order to really appeciate it. So, being able to auto sprint, and have fast characters and such....
That kinda defeats the point of progression or even trying.

Actually new accounts now gain access to the simplified story skip now. I was kind of surprised.
I don't really think there is any progression whatsoever currently for character movement speed/attack speed. You get it from consumables, honor gear, and weapon. If you are new you don't know what a Simple Cron Meal is.
Pearl outfits don't give attack speed and you get one instantly from login rewards. So if a new player puts one on and is leveling with just the +2 from Naru they have 11% less attack speed. Giving Naru gloves +1 speed and Tuvala gloves +2 is probably a good idea.
Maybe they can add an alternative method which makes you interact with the training skill/taming horses/etc to access auto sprint faster. Some short quest that also tells you about awakening horses, the weeklies for that, idk. All I know is it felt awful auto pathing places with the fughar crop and no auto sprint on an unleveled horse with no abyssal wells.
It is kind of an eye opening experience playing from an account with nothing unlocked and a billion things you got to do before you can play the game comfortably, and that is with knowing how to get there quickly. I just want some of this implemented so people will actually play the game. Also the default UI is insane LOL, they need to fix default those alerts and everything to be off.
