Cash shop: More cosmetics, less "convenience" P2W

I can't help to feel that PA has missed a great monetizing opportunity with "glamour" gameplay. For those who do not know the term, glamour in MMOs means cosmetic items that change anything about your character and their possessions from hairstyles to outfits, to auras to recoloured skills etc.
I mean we do have outfits, pets (not purely cosmetic though) and furniture, but that's pretty much it, isn't it?
Where are the cash-shop exclusive hair/beardstyles and -colours? Voice packs? Where are the (dance) emotes? Quip lines? Skill recolours (optional to show original in PvP ofc)? Fairy skins? Etc. etc.
Is it just lack of imagination, or are the devs really so oblivious about how much money people spend on these things on other games? Why do you think one of the competing MMOs is half-jokingly called Fashion Wars 2?

The thing is that's it's easier to sell crons and P2W """convenience""" than creating outfits, as they actually cost (time) money to make.
Also PA made many architectuall deseing issues, and instead of fixing them, they keep pillign their tech debt, which only makes it harder and harder to capitalize on costumization.
Like they should've used the same modell for most of the characters, which would made outfit making way easier, but yeah, that's where being inexperienced dev showing...
The outfit system also terrible. Several slots locked together, bad inventory managment in general. The coloring is limited and buggy. Many equipment category not even exits, etc.
Realistically it's unlikely that they will change.
lol they can't even manage to release one outfit / week steadily...

What you are looking for is a Western MMO that is either B2P or Sub-based. That sell actual content instead of cheaply made overpriced conveniences for purposely placed inconveniences.

OP, i've asked for a change in the dye system 2 times in 2 years and you know what they did?
Instead of making it better, they even removed the free dyes from the loyalty shop lol.
All of the things you've asked are in PSO2 except the open world.
In few months from now PSO2 New Genesis will be released and it will have open world gameplay too.

Yeah sure PA will going to change just cause someone releases a another outdated game for some quick cash.
Thing is that bdo not the #1 mmo, not even 2 or 3... there are many competitors... but PA not care to change.
BDO is in a stagnating position since years, and probably stays here for a few years before it dies. No game release will change it. No PSO2, no new world(if it even releases, probably not), but not even the AOC scamm will going to force PA to actually care.

BDO is riding the money trail, like just about any other korean MMO companies. Remember when korean companies made generic MMOs and made it a quick cash grab? BDO is the same except it doesn't look like it was made in the early 2000s unless you lower the graphic settings to as low as it goes. They're good at milking but there's a finite amount of money that people are willing to pump in a game like it. I spent well over $1000 in FF14 but barely anything in BDO because FF has substance to backup their cash shop. At any day I don't know if BDO will get a new publisher or close for good. I also don't feel comfortable putting too much support into a game that has zero end-game. It's just grind for years until you get blackstar PEN. And what good does that do? Prevent you from dying in 1 shot by a PvPer but not much else.
BDO has to have something for players to look forward to, it does not. They keep releasing a new class which means they will spend less time on other classes moving forward. BDO is no different than cash grab freemium apps. I want to love this game but every time I come back I remember why I keep leaving. There's no vision for the game. For the love of all that is good PA, get a better director and have some vision!
The sad truth is that even no name mobile shtters are doing a FAR better job in progression type games. They offer a wide variety of upgrades that can last for months/years. Gradually increasing your overall strenght/advancement on a regular basis. In contrast BDO is broken and doesn't even follow the original game design. Now you just ignore 95% of the game and go right to end game. The levels mean nothing. Does anyone remember going from 21-22 on the last 5 classes?
Meanwhile I'm pushing the limits MAKING GAINS every single day on some random tower Idle game LOL. And this game is full of advertising/P2W trash too, but it's progress is still 100x better than BDO.
And somehow BDO is getting WORSE instead of better. I don't give a damn about TET/PEN FGA. Get that SHT OUT OF THE GAME and replace it with something more meaningful and reasonable. That cash shop casino garbage isn't worth my time.

See comment above. How many decades will you claim that BDO is trash yet stick to it and even worse, massively support its business model like the massive hypocrite you are. Not worth your time yet you claim having clocked 10k's (tens of thousands) hours grinding on it.
