If your in a safe zone standing or in the water a person can pick you up on a raft even when you have do not board ship check and take you out of the safe zone and kill you while your AFK

they don't even have to bother with a raft..... just wait for one of the frequent timeouts that seem to happen while afk, and the game will automatically disable the "do not board setting, AND move a previously fishing character up to at least 15+ meters onto the nearest boat,.
For a game that claims that pulling people out safezones to kidnap/kill/feed-to-mobs is griefing, the devs sure do seem to go out of their way to enable the behavior.
"Do not board" should be a sticky character setting in the menus.... you can't tell it can't be done, because the entire hotbar UI behaves that same way
