What is going on with Nodes?

I recently came back to the game, opened the map and node war information and noticed that basically all nodes are empty. Out of the 50 or so nodes only 3 or 4 are occupied by guilds. What happened? a year ago they were almost all occupied.

Node occupation only lasts until the next day now. There's been a whole bunch of changes to NWs including us now having to completely separate systems :D best to ask on your pvp discs/guild discs wtf happened. Or check out the "Nuked BDO" YouTube videos for the memes.
