Hey,

I checked out the Global Lab patch notes today and saw that Hashashin Succession has been heavily nerfed.

Specifically, I noticed changes to Prime: Descent and Prime: Chosen Blade. The passive tornadoes, which used to last for 10 seconds, have been removed. In exchange, the damage of all skills has been buffed, with each skill receiving an average of 20% more damage. However, I doubt that this will compensate for the loss of the passive tornadoes that spawn after these two skills. The reason is that these tornadoes currently account for about 40% of the total PvE damage.

Furthermore, I think the buffs to movement—such as dashing from A to B—are nice, but the overall damage reduction is too severe. This makes the class perform worse compared to other top-tier grinding classes, such as Darkseekers, in my opinion.

Additionally, controlling tornadoes is the core mechanic of the Hashashin, which is why I enjoy playing this class. Without this gimmick, it becomes just as boring as any other class—just skill -> no mechanics -> pure damage.

So, what do you guys think about this buff/nerf?

Personally, I want Hashashin Succession to stay the way it is right now, with its many tornadoes dealing passive damage. I would actually prefer if they moved faster or had a bit more range instead of being removed entirely.

I was one of the people that asked for them to make the tornados less relevant in PvE. It was a nice chunk of damage, but did not scale well (because it is summon damage). On glab they added a significant amount of damage to many skills (it far surpasses 20%). I played on glab and it feels pretty good, although I could not quite get my exact gear on glab (house buff, horse and stuff missing) it felt pretty good. They made the class way more fluid and fun to play. I would have wished for thr nados to just be less relevant and not removed, but I can understand why they removed them in thr end. They always caused more issues than benefit.

If it turns out to underperform after the changes we can only hope that PA adjusts the damage up like they did with other classes. Overall we greatly benefit from these changes and they are not even final, as a lot of tooltips were still not right on glab. Slight aoe and damage buff could work wonders.

My English is very poor, using the translation.

I'm also one of those who advocated for reducing the importance of Hashashin's tornado skill – its damage was too slow and underwhelming. The revamped Hashashin in the global test server now has smooth skill combos and finally feels like a properly balanced class in terms of damage output.

I tested the old Succession Hashashin and the new one, and honestly, it feels even more useless than before. I have 338/336 AP, and in Darkseeker's trash loot with a Gold Loot Scroll + Agris, I used to get 45k with 3T, but now it's only 35k with 3T.

In solo normal Olun, my best time before the patch was 42-44 seconds, but now after the patch, it takes 54-57 seconds.

In Tungrad, I used to need 5 skills before the patch, but now only 3-4 skills are necessary.

It seems like this is only a buff for lower grind spots, but for high-end or newer spots with self-gear, it's a huge nerf—around 15-20% worse than before. Meanwhile, other classes got much better. Hashashin needs around 20-25% more damage on every skill to keep up.
