Succession Nova has been one of the lowest preforming classes in PvE for several years. Every time she receives buffs, so does everyone else, leading her to be the bottom line "if you do more than her, you're fine". Other classes are preforming at a 40 - 60% silver/hr increase. |
Special Attack Damage: Does not apply to her summons, leading for a large decrease in DPS since they are used in every skill. This lowers the effectiveness of Harmony Draughts, Crystals, Caroline, Dosa/Valk party buffs. |
Zone Buffs: We use a blanket statement by saying these don't apply to summons, but in a testing video it was found it applies only ONCE, so once you cast a second skill and continue the combo, it is no longer applied. So places like Undergyfin, Highlands, Tungrad Ruins, City of The Dead, and any other zone that may have special buffs lose effectiveness with them. |
DPS: Because Succession Nova's animations, and speed are quite slow compared to the other classes, her overall DPS drops dramatically. Example: Prime: Frozen Earth (Shift+C) has 5557% x5 + King of the Dead summon 1450% x1 + Passed Pawn summon 1294% x1, You might think that's a lot of damage? But it's actually one of her WORST DPS skills because of how long it takes for all that damage to apply, on top of the summons not scaling with any special attack damage so it's just flat numbers at base spec %'s pre crystals/buffs; another class can use several abilities in the time it takes to use this skill, and those other classes damage %'s are higher on top of being able to use more. The skill cooldown we have on this skill is also 12s. Many of her abilities have this same issue such as; Prime: Storming Star (Shift+E) Queen's Gambit (E) Rime Ice (S+F) Vengeful Star (W+RMB) Prime: Bitter Reign (S+LMB) Skill Enhancement: Bitter Star (Shift+Z) A skill might have a high % of damage, but if it takes X time to fully apply then it's final Damage per second decreases dramatically. AP on Hit: Her Prime: Frozen Darkness (Shift+RMB) skill awards +12AP, however she still remains lower total AP than many classes because of Passives by Trillions of silver worth of gear. With zones reaching softcaps upwards to 1350 now, she's unable to reach 1200AP with her 100% BSR absorption at max gear. Many classes have passives + 20-40ap gains with skill usage. Raising this skill to +25AP will help combat her lack of total AP gains. Her Class buff: +500hp +20DR +50% crit chance +50% grapple res -unable to get DP debuffs The 50% crit chance is useless because of how easy it is to use Face The Darkness (F) for 50% crit chance, and be at 100% crit rate. The 50% grapple res will be useless IF you go through with the removal of PvP CC resistances Other Classes Class skill buffs have greater usage like Striker obtaining 15% eva, 50DR, 30% movement speed, 30% attack speed, 500hp, 30% all resistances permanent Super Armor while moving or Warrior obtaining 30AP 30% attack speed 40% movement speed 40% all resistances A great amount of classes class skill buffs award a great advantage when grinding Class Buff Change Proposal: +Attack Speed 30% +Movement speed 20% +50 DR +1500 Healing +30% to all resistances +unable to get DP debuffs |
Cooldowns: Most of our kit ranges between 8s to 13s cooldowns, when doing party content you can use every skill and be left sitting and waiting. Dehkia Oluns 2 for example. With the addition of everything mentioned above this, we are hurting our parties silver/hr when it comes to certain phases. Players will purposefully exclude this class from group grinding because of her performance. This potentially could be remedied by higher damage %'s |
Skills: Skills in this list need a large damage increase to reflect DPS/Cast times; Prime: Frozen Earth (Shift+C) Prime: Storming Star (Shift+E) Queen's Gambit (E) Rime Ice (S+F) Vengeful Star (W+RMB) <-- Attack #3 as main focus for damage increase OR add Forward Guard to skill and speed animation up dramatically Prime: Bitter Reign (S+LMB) <-- Attack #2 as main focus for damage increase Skill Enhancement: Bitter Star (Shift+Z) Mauling Star <-- Have this skill use Frozen Darkness (Shift+RMB) multipliers instead of Face The Darkness Prime: King of The Dead Prime: Passed Pawn Reasoning for damage increase: These skills have very long animations, without the damage to reflect it. Skills such as bitter reign, vengeful star, mauling star, have extremely low damage/DPS, and are very poor to add into combos. Vengeful star #3 Attack is a very good filler-skill but it's unable to do effective damage. Prime: Bitter Reign #2 Attack is a filler that can be used right after Vengeful, which is WAY too slow Mauling Star currently uses Face The Darkness multipliers and damage numbers, but it's not good enough. It would be a lot better to use Frozen Darkness for Mauling Star in order for it to be effective Prime: King of The Dead and Prime: Passed Pawn had recently been nerfed in PvE damage by 55% when her ratio's were switched around. This severely hurt her DPS and potential for reaching average silver. Increasing it back to where it was would be useful. Skills that need a cooldown reduction: Queen's Gambit (E) from 13s to 10s Frozen Earth (Shift+C) from 12s to 10s Storming Star (Shift+E) from 11s to 9s Prime: Star's Call (S+C) from 10s to 6s Reasoning for Cooldown Reductions: These skills significantly slow down our DPS by waiting for cooldowns, on top of their DPS being lower than the middle of the combo. Comparatively to other classes big hitting skills, these do less damage with a higher cooldown. --> Guardian God Incenerator as example Prime: Star's Call gets used as a mobility skill, and helps with Succession Nova getting pack to pack, it's also her only I-frame, which compared to the majority of classes they range between 2 - 6s cooldowns. Skills that need a Healing Increase: Prime: Storming Star (Shift+E) 80hp to 160hp Queen's Gambit (E) 115hp to 200hp Rime Ice (S+F) 50hp to 115hp Swooping Ring (W+C) 125hp to 225hp Reasoning for Healing increases: Succession Nova has to land EVERY hit in order to heal, while having to take damage at the same time since her skills are Super Armor. Whether it's facing monsters or players, her healing is one of the worst in the game, it's an extreme risk vs Boss Monsters to even attempt healing. She has to back off a lot and stop doing damage to survive, while others can quickly stay healed up |

I just hope devs take the time to look at the class thoroughly like they did with the bigger reworks just now (archer, succ Hash as examples), I want the class to do better in PvE mostly but I'll take any positive changes that come her way at this point.

Careful what your asking for on 1 hand ya you want pve buffs but on the other hand they might change your kit to much to where your forced to relearn the class and completely change how your class plays on a level you might not like. I recommend looking at what PA is doing to the classes you mentioned because there's a very vocal part of the community who likes some changes but others full on are ruining classes playstyles and flow which flow is the most important part of bdos combat.

yeah that part makes me nervous. Cause this is the ONLY class I enjoy, and the ONLY one I play. I'm tagged to a SECOND one for dungeon rewards lol. I've been here since closed beta, and if she becomes worse from a full change idk how I'd cope or if I could keep playing

Like most of what you said in your original post, we just need to be brought up to speed with all the changes theyre throwing out and the higher HP/DP in both PvE and PvP. Our class never got reworked. More dmg/faster attack speed/or both wouldnt require a huge overhaul of our skills. They also keep coming out with more and more summons that have the same issues. Summons is an issue across the board.
No one here wants to make Succ Nova OP. We just want our time spent playing the class we love to feel as valuable as those who enjoy other classes, and not seen as self-inflicted torture...

That's why I always say like, this class has wonderful gameplay and mechanics; but TERRIBLE Math behind it, which hurts its performance everywhere.
The way summons work though in the game in general.. idk if they're able or willing to take the time to change how they work across the board cause every class in the game has a "form" of summon attack, like Musa's fire slash that moves through the air is one, so it's probably too much to bother with vs just making number go up on a class lol
