 So after a long break I am returning to BDO and alot has changed like seasons servers! After doing a bunch of research about Lifeskill changes that have happend while I was gone I am left with a single question before I go back into Lifeskilling my few free hours a day away!

The question that im left with is this, Is their any Disadvantages to simply making my Lifeskill character a seasonal character and never graduating from the season?

 I mean the sole reason I use to leave my lifeskillers at lvl 49 was for the fact i could not be pvp off my spot, I simply did my thing and their was nothing you could do. I see the season servers are simply not able to pvp. Also the lifeskill ranking transfers from my other characters to the season character.  The way im looking at it, Their is simply no reason to graduate for a lifeskiller like myself. Unless im missing something, which is why im asking?

Is their something im missing?

It used to be the case that season characters could not equip mastery gear.  They changed some of that though.

edit: Checked, no restrictions on mastery gear. Alchemy stones may not be equipable, but spirit stones are.

you cannot equip certain gear, alchemy stones (ones you can polish grow and restore durability, including cooking time requction stone). there are new stones in game droppable in Kamasylvia region so you can replace that stone with dropped one.

mastery gear seems to be equipable. 

there are certain quests that cannot be started on seasonal (will need normal char or graduated one) but these designed around seasonal character and will give some rewards once you graduate that character.

one thing to note - season server works differently and it tremendously boosts character XP (+1000% combat XP +50% life XP) so it's beneficial to train your lifeskill on season since you have free boost and safety.

also it drops tuvala stones and you can exchange them for loot scrolls or failstacks. hence grinding on season character is more profitable since you get additional drop in a form of tuvala stones. if you plan to make reusbale HP/Mana pots, assemble archeologic map, compass - you still will have to grind in low level zones for the drops and season character is just the right AP/DP to do it.

its all good to be true so keep in mind it can end any moment if PA will decide to end the season. However don't be afraid of PvP, it's not as rampant as it was before. PA introduced karma changes, crystal breackage and other mechanics to keep predators at bay. they did karma unified for all characters lol you'll still hear cries of red players asking to remove this feature.

btw you don't have to risk being attacked, there's Marni private zone now for grind spots, since it appearance there's no duelling for grind spots as people just go to Marni if they don't want to be attacked.

Used to be there was gather rate bonus on season, but they removed that when they allowed mastery gear on season.

Biggest loss I've noticed is you can't equip Khan's Heart (Life), but Treant's Tear works as a replacement.

TBH tho, in the last year I've been attacked while lifeskilling exactly 3 times (twice farming, once horse taming).  I rez back to town, pay for durability loss that cost less than I fart, and am back at it in under a minute

I actually had MORE trouble on season with fishing, and getting kidnapped off the beach overnight and dopped on an island to die to mobs, but now that we can have boats out when entering Elvia, I can just sail out to wherever, swap to elvia, and fish away in near perfect isolation

PA lifted most of the restrictions relevant for lifeskilling to season chars. Not being able to equip the Stella spirit stone is one that may hurt, as you miss out on the 100 mastery buff. Else my experience after graduation, world PvP is dead, even on Arsha everybody is just grinding, lol. Lifeskills and gear are account-wide, so you can (and should for rewards) always keep a season char around.
