Removing the character slot expansion from the loyalty shop is a huge letdown and a wrong decision imho. Please add it back.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, they did the thing and continued, even quadrupled down on the predatory line of development.

Removal of character slots is not surprising, but it doesn´t make it any less scummy or disappointing. Removing something that was available before (only once a month, mind you) in order to sell it exclusively for cash is, after all, their proven textbook approach. 

More than anything, I´m surprised that they didn´t remove 1D VP (and only settled down on almost doubling its price and limiting it for a once-a-week purchase).

Not even talking about sailor slots etc. which are a major issue now, especially after the first mate sailors AND (absolutely mindboggling) decision to increase cabins for carracks. (Or not at least resetting their purchase limit, as if such a small complimentary "reward" for loyal people who played this game for years, like getting ONE extra slot on lodgings or something, was a major sacrifice on their part). 

Exactly. It's also a dumb decision for a game that encourages you having/playing alt characters. If I were a new player again, this would drive me away quickly.

Not only new players, f2p players too. Granted, PA prolly dosn't care, but hey, more players that are gonna leave is gonna be a bad look.

I still got one open slot and after that, well im prolly not gonna start deleting characters and i sure as hell am not gonna start spending money, when i dislike the monetarization system this badly. And i don't think im alone with this sentiment.

Exactly, the same situation here. One slot left, not gonna start deleting characters and definitely not gonna reward PA for this scam by spending money on something that's been free before - within reasonable limits, at least. Guess I'll just take an extensive break from the game instead.

As a new player, you will never get to 7k family fame now without having to spend a lot of money. I don't know who thought this was a great change, but they clearly don't even play their own game. This, for me, just shows how greedy PA have become and this predatory behaviour should not be encouraged by giving them your money for something, which was free before for just playing the game for a reasonable amount of time.

BDO became like this "egyptian guide guy" stereotype:
- you took a step? pay 5$
- u took a pic? pay 10$
- u looked at my shoes? pay 5$
- i pointed tip of pyramid for you? pay 20$

BDO is free to play, but once you're in, it screams "pay pay pay!"
