Please increase the price of these boxes

Reduce the requirements not increase the price.  Cut it down to 2/6 elixir of death from 3/9 to make a Guru box like it is now.   What they sell for is fine, but the material cost to make one is too high in comparison.

Regardless, silver from certain activities is so unbalanced.  Cooking and alchemy have been neglected for years, unless you hit that magic mastery number.

Please keep in mind, that cutting these down, which was talked about April 22nd, isn't the fix. Benny is still correct, that the cost of the boxes need to go up. 33% increase in profit of nothing is still - nothing. The major issue is how much traces and fruits cost. With Harmony Draughts sucking the majority of traces out of the market, it's pushed them to this place.

Few things can fix it:

1) increase drop rates of all trace nodes, getting 4,000 week when you need 10,000+ to craft a batch of elixirs isn't enough.

2) increase the price of the box. Period.

The current price of making and buying is drastically out weighed. when you look at cooking.

It's quite different. And much harder to make Alchemy boxes, but cooking is 2.57 times better. and 33% better isn't bridging this gap at all.  Which is why when heard people simping over this change already. It just shows how dumb people can be. Yeah, It's a buff. But not enough to really make it profitable. These Guru crates should be on par or better than any cooking crate as we don't have mass procs on Alchemy, bottlenecked on trace and fruits, even with all the other profits per hour of gathering / hunting and the actual alch processing time of (200mil per hour) still cannot offset these costs.

I see the problem with this community, you guys don't read and are snobbish, how will they ever filter through the plebs like you guys who can't even bother to watch a dev update video but would rather type and complain about changes already coming to the game. Them mentioning they will make adjustments as needed to alch boxes.....It's almost like the community board doesn't become a resource for ideas when the "ideas and solutions" are already underway and are announced, but the community is so brain-dead and illiterate that a visual representation still doesn't suffice so weird to me

A few less elixirs isn't enough. It's a nice change but still minimal. The price of boxes also needs to go up

They cut the cost of the box by 33% that's not "A few less elixirs".  Essentially they increased the price of the box by 50%.  Rather than requiring 9 elixir of Death they require 6, that is a huge change.

Alright I'll address this for both you Werbs and Jokerdafew.

Werbs - first off your math is wrong. Joker just sit back and listen. I'll try my best to walk you both through all this, so hang tight.

Below is the screenshot taken before the change:

Now here is that same update list:

Now let's break this down like we are five, so everyone where who might suck at math can follow along. For the example I will be using Elixir of Sky for this.

Alchemy TL-DR:
- 1 craft of alchemy will net you ~3.24x return for every craft you make.
- Every craft has about a 10.245% chance to make a Blue Grade Elixir.
- 1hr of alchemy will get you around 250mil in extra profit per hour but this won't be accounted for in any of this.

For the sake of this example, we say: Every craft will 3:1 with 10% of Blue.

What is needed for 1 craft of the elixir?
- 1 Oil of Tranquility
- 4 Traces of Nature
- 6 Pure Poweder Reagent
- 1 Emperor Mushroom (base level)
- 2 Blood Tree Knot

Now since this requires an oil to craft we need to have this as well.

- 1 Wise Man's Blood
- 1 Fruit of Nature
- 1 Power of Earth
- 1 Blood Tree Knot

We now have Wise Man's Blood so this ALSO has to be looked at.

- 2 Fox Blood
- 1 Trace of Nature
- 1 Clear Liquid Reagent
- 1 Monks Brach

All this will get you, 1 craft of each.

Let's break this down with simple math. The only things we need to be concerned with is the Fruit and Trace costs. Everything else is cheap enough to not make a difference for this example, but it would add up.

As of May 17th, 2025 around 5:30p EDT:

Trace of Nature costs: 137,000 silver per (swings from 120-145,000)
Fruit of Nature costs: 300,000 silver per (swings from 280-315,000)

Now I'll be open with you all so you can see where we are about to go:

I'm Guru 42 Alchemy, with my Mastery I'm around 2,300 unbuffed. Most 1,610exp Elixirs I'm crafting (Sky being one) I'm almost always 2,500+ mastery.

I will set this up like it's for me. At 476 current max CP, I can turn in: 238 boxes. So let's show you what it takes to craft 238 boxes before the change. I need to craft 2,142 elixirs to make ONE day of turn-ins. So I need to make ~661 crafts on average to hit this goal.
This means I need:

- 661 Oil of Tranquility
- 2,644 Traces of Nature
- 3,966 Pure Poweder Reagent
- 661 Emperor Mushroom (base level)
- 1,322 Blood Tree Knot

But I need to make the oils.

So going off a 3:1 I'll need to make 207 Crafts so: 207 Fruit of Nature.

Now we have Traces in the bloods. So how many do we need for this? 69 Traces for the bloods.

This brings our totals for ONE day:
- 2,713 Traces of Nature / 371,681,000 silver
- 207 Fruits of Nature / 62,100,000

Total silver invested so far: 443,781,000

NOTE: Now we are assuming this is ALL off the Green Sky Elixir since we are looking at 1 day, not a week or month setup.

So let's wrap this together now. At 2,400 Mastery (was too lazy to jump to my 2,800 turn-in character) This is what ONE Guru Crate sells for:

1,310,277 silver.

I can turn in 238 Guru crates a day for (for 2,400 Mastery): 311,845,926 silver

On raw math: 443,781,000 - 311,845,926 = I lose 131,935,074 silver a day by that. But this is only in the Greens; we did craft 214 blues.

So 10% means we made 71 boxes in just blues. So that totals to: 93,029,667 extra silver we can turn in another day. This takes us down to a total loss of 38,905,407 silver for this craft.

Now we can use 33% to do this math. Since we reduced the cost by 1/3rd.

So 311,845,926 x 1.33 = 414,755,081 silver for that same amount of crates.
404,875,593 orignal (combined 238+71) grand total to: 538,484,538 silver.

- TOTAL PROFIT: 94,703,539 silver, or 306,483 silver per box (post buff- based on this math).

Now. Where it seems everyone doesn't want to address this is the fact: Traces with most trace nodes in the game only net you around 4,000 traces a week, with Best-in-slot Artisan workers. Fruits, have to be gathered or farmed. Saps generally need to be gathered (this one didn't have saps), But, BUYING VALENCIA MEALS OFF THE CENTRAL MARKET IS: 708,120 IN PURE PROFIT. Which that means, 168,532,560 silver for JUST: Walking up to the market > Buying 4,284 Valencia meals > Packing them > TURN for 168,532,560 silver. Nevermind the fact if you make them, it's even better per box.

Alchemy is far harder to deal with, more costly, more timely to craft overall (Cooking has mass cooking), yet we only can walk away with 94,703,539 POST buff (33%) better. This isn't a huge change. It's a spit in the face by the devs refusing to actually look at the core issue. The imperial box was not desgined around the cost of elixirs post Harmony Draught era. You CANNOT walk up, pack any alchemy elixir for that kind of profit margin AND do it consistently. You have too many alchemists going to the market to mass buy traces to make harmony draughts so the price of traces and fruits are fit for their profit margins, NOT, a Guru Imperial box.

But when people come out and just look at it face value, OH 33% better. As I said in my prior post 33% of nothing, is STILL nothing. You need to deep dive the numbers to actually understand this.

Core ISSUE STILL STANDS: Imperial Box prices still need to be increased to value the items inside that make it. These are GURU alchemy boxes we are talking about. Not skilled. Guru.

Lastly: this didn't assume you "BOUGHT" everything needed to craft, just traces and fruits.

I hope this straightens out where you all are getting confused on this. It's a crap change and we need to call them out for it. This is a Hello-Kitty band-aid on a wound that NEEDS stitches. Sure, it will do something, but it doesn't solve the actually issue.

In short: the box needs to 2.2x in price. That solves the issue. Then its on par with Valenica meal Guru Cooking Box.
