Hello BDO Community.

I am one of those casuals that came back and forth from 2019 all the way to 2022.

Its been this year i finally settled on this game setting goals and going full endgame. For the very same reasons we're all here.

Throughout the years we've seen alot of adjusments, concering class skills as well as stats such as Accuracy/ Evasion/ DR etc.

It usually ends up in the same loop of ''Buff this, nerf that'' but it never really works because there's simply too many classes.

New ones, bringing new mechanics that are more difficult to balance with the old ones, old ones, that feel like a Cart compared to a Bugatti.

New ones, that are being adjusted to be more on par with the old ones, old ones that are adjusted to feel more modern.

But it never really works right? The cycle just continues.

Alot of classes have kits like Drakania, plenty of options to flow skills through and many of the old ones, well the devs are trying to create some flow but they just lack the amount of skills that can be flowed together, comparing lets say Drakania to Warrior. But there are other cases, such as a Kunoichi's kit having a ton of options but be more complicated to output the same perfomance then lets say, Sage. There's also classes like Sorceress that has less flow of skills in Succesion for example and all the devs can do is buff her damage instead and it goes on and on.

This issue might take a while to fix and i do really believe the devs should invest more into that instead of nerfs and buffs.

But is that what will technically ''Fix'' PvP for BDO. Unlock all of its potential? I dont think so. The greatest issue has nothing to do with classes.

We all know the Netcode and FPS issues related to causing imbalance since forever. That is a different subject.

The real issues are: 

Mobility creep, combined with constantly protected movement through Super Armor and AoEs all over the place.

Its an easy way for a player/ team/ guild to get kills in the random ''blob'' just dash inside even and RNG a grab until you die to some AoE.

I believe Super Armor is okish for PvE, although it could be different but in PvP its a turn off.

Imagine that Ninja, prepping his ambush, timing his combo burst. You just hit, let's say ''Random Skill with Super Armor'' and all his preparation is nullified, you grab him and he died. A skillfull player actually that could have won, unless you were more skillfull, go the side and Forward Guard block his attack then turn into a Counter Attack.

Nope.

It's all about moving across the field fast, hitting those Super Armor Protected AoEs and maybe even land a lucky ranged CC and take the day.

Just make sure you have elixir rotation up, with Continous Care V for maximum RNG chance to survive and be sure to dash across the field while you press those AoE buttons.

Open World, RBF/ NodeWar suffers from these issues. AoS is better, Arena is better.

I think PA has to do something about it and make PvP more dangerous again. High risk, high reward.

And btw. No, i dont ask for my Warrior to have more protected movement against those AoEs. Not at all.

Just wish there was no Super Armor and the AoEs wouldn't be all over the place with everyone moving around like flies.

You know, make me decide on the next step, taking the risk and either dying or winning but i would like to trade ''Sidesteps and Dodges and Q blocks with my opponent'' until he outskills me.

What are Brothers of Goyen after anyway? ''A good death''

There's a reason they replaced pistols for rocket launchers.

Bigger visuals and simplicity, things that make them money.

This powercreep is present since hash came out. Insane protected mobility, multi hit CC, blockjump abilities, ranged grabs, long iframes and AoE just getting handed out like candy.

I feel like all this has been hardened into the class identities too deeply and PA cannot change it for the better without upsetting 40% of the PvP-ing playerbase at once... :/

Talking about PVP balance, bruh increase MAEHWA/MUSA stamina dash cost ffs, litterally you cannot CC any of these classes at all, in AOS if you can't grab them then you are done and can't do anything. Tried on many matches to atleast deal dmg and break their shield to have a chance to apply CC also on the back, no chances, I put all my skills on cd and  waste all stamina and still can't do anything to them while they can infinite dash SA and apply skills fast to CC you but you can't do anything in this case due to class slow turn/movement or just they break your shield and exposed to CC. So all classes act differently but some are just OP while others are good but have big disadvanteges. Not a skills issue but encountering classes that have everything and you don't means unbalanced gameplay.

Yeah. About time to nerf awk maehwa again. We are way too oppressive obviously.
