Dear @PearlAbyss / @BlackDesertOnline,

Please, in order of priority, either:

1) Restore (and do NOT remove) the "Character Slot Expansion Coupon" (CSEC) item to Loyalty Shop (LS) with the following values:
-With or without the monthly purchase limit of 1 count of CSEC (let community vote on the need for this limit);
-Adjust Loyalty Point (LP) cost of CSEC from 10,000 LP to 15,000 LP (due to daily LP gain increase by +50%), but no higher than 18,000.

Values before LS rework: 200 LP / day x 50 days = 10,000 LP / 50 days = 1 CSEC
Expected values after LS rework: 300 LP / day x 50 days = 15,000 LP / 50 days = 1 CSEC
Acceptable values after LS rework: 300 LP / day x 60 days = 18,000 LP / 60 days = 1 CSEC

2) All of the above, but replace the monthly purchase limit of CSEC to the following conditions and values:
-Fetch the number of currently playable classes in game (29, as of this writing), subtract it with the number of free character slots for the existing account (6 in old accounts; 2 (*) in new accounts (PA might change this number with future updates)), and apply the final number to the account's purchase limit of CSEC in LS;

[Example - Old Accounts] 29 Classes - 6 free character slots = 23 CSECs required to create and play all playable classes in game, on one game account.
[Example - New Accounts] 29 Classes - 2 free character slots = 27 CSECs required to create and play all playable classes in game, on one game account.

-With each future class addition to the game, update the purchase limit of CSEC in LS.

[Example]
Fetch the number of currently playable classes in game: 29 (as of this writing);
Fetch the number of available free character slots for the existing account (in case the limit changes for new accounts);
Fetch the number of current CSEC purchase limit in LS: '# of currently playable classes in game' - '# of free character slots of the existing account';
Work with the fetched numbers in this order:
1) Check for changed values of 'number of currently playable classes in game' with each game update; if the checked value returns higher than the value before the check, then update the lower value of 'number of currently playable classes in game' with the new (returned) value; if the checked value returns as the same value before the check, then make no changes to the current value;
2) Run the value check for 'number of current CSEC purchase limit in LS'; if the value returns higher from the value before the check, then update the lower value of 'number of current CSEC purchase limit in LS' with the new (returned) value; if the checked value returns as the same (or, in case of a bug, lower) value before the check, then make no changes to the current value;

-Users / players would still be able to purchase a CSEC from the Pearl Shop (PS) if they wanted to either: expand past the number of currently playable classes in game; and / or skip waiting for LP gained from daily log-in and events; and / or skip the monthly limit wait time, in case the monthly limit was to be chosen for CSEC in LS.

3) All of the above, but keeping the monthly purchase limit of CSEC in the Loyalty Shop, alongside the suggested implementation of total account's purchase limit of CSEC in Loyalty Shop, that corresponds to the number of playable classes in the game at all times.
Personally, I don't hold any merit with this option, however, it could be beneficial for the company if any player(-s) would accumulate enough LP to purchase two or more CSECs (if without the monthly purchase limit) to create and level multiple characters within a day or two, only to then become inactive in the game or quit the game entirely. The monthly limit in this case would serve to have such player(-s) return to the game after about a month, to try out another character, once the CSEC purchase limit in LS would be reset, potentially providing the player with returner's benefits (Olvia Servers + VP + Returner's Login Rewards (with LP rewards included), etc.) that may or may not motivate such player(-s) to play up to or longer than the returner's benefits' duration.

4) None of the above, saving us time and money to instead support developers and publishers who communicate properly and listen to their community.

Thank you for reading, and if you have further ideas to either improve upon or add to this topic, then all comments are welcome.

Kind regards,

Everyone Waffu

P.S. This post serves as a suggestion topic to what changes would be acceptable for community with the item of the topic, instead of outright removing / adding the item back into the new (reworked) Loyalty Shop, and as such, it deserves a dedicated topic.
This initial suggestion does not account for the time-limit implementation of the new "seasonal" feature of Loyalty Points and items' stocks and rotations in Loyalty Shop, therefore further discussion of ideas is required to determine the most acceptable form of re-implementation of the item of the topic (the CSEC).

EDITS:
[2025/05/16]
-Fixed the typos in "number of currently playable classes in game" from: 28 -> 29; fixed the related examples accordingly;
-Added a line and an example with (supposedly) changed number of free character slots of new accounts (which is now 2 (*) slots) and fixed the related text accordingly.
(* - I don't have a new account to test this with, but included an example for users who reported new accounts having only 2 free character slots.)
[2025/05/20]
-Added and replaced suggestion option no. 3 (which includes keeping the account's monthly purchase limit of CSEC in Loyalty Shop);
-Moved the old option no. 3 to the new option no. 4.

I've said my peace on this on another post similar to this I agree with everything said here.

We also have to be as consistent as possible with this or we won't have any change not that I trust the execs to want to listen because (greed).

I believe that option 2. sounds more blatant and less acceptable for corporation like PA. I dare to say that option one (reinstating it as it was before with monthly limit AND price increase to 15k) is the one pill that is little easier to swallow for them.

Wishing for a limit of current 29 classes is a monkey paw kind of wish. You get half and no increase in future in that case.

The first option is just to reimplement the CSEC into Loyalty Shop with a LP cost change to correspond to the increase of daily LP after Loyalty Shop rework.
If the item returned with pre-rework's 10,000 LP cost, with a post-rework's increased +50% daily LP in place, it would mean players would be able to get a CSEC in maximum of 34 days (33.3 - rounded to 34) instead of maximum 50 days, even though it would make sense for it to be closer to ~30 days, since CSEC was account-limited to 1 purchase / month. However, this number of days for acquiring the LP amount to purchase the CSEC in LS could be far lower taking into account that for a very long time, the game held occasional LP reward events that gave out large amounts of LP just from logging into the game or for staying logged in for extra time.
And yet, this is now offset by the post-rework of seasonal reset of accumulated LP while the company did not provide us with any assurance that more LP reward events would be held in future.

If I understand this line correctly, you think option 2 of my suggestion does not account for future class releases? If so, you likely missed the section about it, which I will quote below for convenience, but in case you meant something else, please elaborate further:

Yes, that is why I think option 1 is easier to swallow for PA. Limit it and increase the price accordingly, as you suggested. I was all in favour of that option.

As for the option 2, Im fully aware that you asked for purchasable max slot increase with each new class released. And that is the thing Im afraid of. If we are asking them to increase the limit, end result will definitely not end up with limit raised to accommodate all classes now, let alone later because I do not believe that PA would increase max limit of anything at this point and time.

That is why I think your proposed option 1 is simply better, and how it should have been since the last loyalty reset. People who want to buy more slots faster than once a month will be pressured into spending pearls for it (assuming they have enough loyalty to buy it already), which in the end is what matters the most to a company.

If we are asking them to increase the limit, end [1] result will definitely not end up with limit raised to accommodate all classes now [1], let alone later because I [2] do not believe that PA would increase max limit of anything at this point and time [2].

People who want to buy more slots faster than once a month will be pressured into spending pearls for it (assuming they have enough loyalty to buy it already), which in the end is what matters the most to a company.

[1] Perhaps I'll elaborate further on my end as well:

On July 3, 2024, when Dosa was added, the company implemented the following increase: "Number of Maximum Character Slots: 32 → 35"
At that time, maximum unique playable classes in game was 28 and one unique account could hold a maximum of 35 characters.
The "Number of Maximum Character Slots" for one unique account was already higher than the number of unique playable classes, yet they increased such limit further by +3, creating an unnecessary / excess capacity for an account to hold 7 more characters, if all 28 unique classes were already created.

On December 24, 2024, about 6 months after Dosa was added, the company added Deadeye to the game, but I found no records of increased "Number of Maximum Character Slots" for an account.
So, currently, there are 29 unique playable classes, with one unique account having the capacity to hold 35 characters total, which is an unnecessary / excess capacity for an account to hold 6 more characters.

With the pre-rework Loyalty Shop's CSEC, accounts could freely reach the excess capacity, which was unnescessary to fully experience the game, and the excess only served to allow users to create and level new characters up to the softcap for a faster source of "Family Fame", extra energy source, perhaps(?) titles, also for parking more characters all over the open-world map to eliminate travel time and other funny and (currently) less relevant things like Shai's unique Professional level in Alchemy and Gathering to have multiple Shais parked in different zones for lifeskilling. PA had weird obsession with Shais, don't ask me about it.

Hence, my suggestion for implementing the limit of CSEC in Loyalty Shop to match the limit of unique playable classes, and to update the limit of this item with every new unique playable class added to the game, because looking from the company's PoV there's no reason for them to allow a F2P user to freely access the (!)excess(!) capacity of characters that an account can hold, which should instead be a premium feature through Pearl Shop. Pearl Abyss already lost some potential revenue from not thinking this through from the get-go, however, that's simply the incompetence of marketing design team which is evident to this day by the reflection of the state of Loyalty Shop rework.

[2] Except that PA did, already, increase purchase limits of some items along the Loyalty Shop (LS) rework update, the main examples being: "Naderr's Parchment" and "Crystal Inventory +5 Expansion Coupon" purchase limits for one unique account were increased by +1, allowing all accounts, including the ones that had purchased 1 x "Naderr's Parchment" and 1 x "Crystal Inventory +5 Expansion Coupon" with accumulated LP before the LS rework, to purchase one more count of these items with LP for a total account (family) limit of 2.

The working system is already here - it would only have to be applied to CSEC if they were to take up the 2nd suggestion I had provided.
