Patch just went live and hour an a half ago and it's worse than what was talked about on the Dev Notice Here:
https://youtu.be/xDDoRlmnWdU?feature=shared&t=687
^ Dev Note Timestamped where he talks about it. ^
I quote: "To fix this, we'll be lowering Contribution Points costs ACROSS THE BOARD."
This change would not only have increased the Gateways, but lowered everything else.
The change that just went live today is Shi... Trash.: https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/News/Detail?groupContentNo=8572&countryType=en-US
The here is where I'm willing to make a compromise in thought process:
Currently it takes the same CP from going from 1 to 501, as it does to go from 501 to 502 CP.
Still 18,000,000 crafts is a LOT of cooking.
I'd be able to tolerate being lied to on a Dev Note, if this was part of the plan. But it wasn't.
Incase people don't undertstand "Across the board" means: EVERYTHING. All CP investment points.
Major thing they DIDN'T address:
- All 2 CP node costs across the map
Currently LoML is all 1 CP per investment, Yet older regions like Kama / Ody / Duven have MASSIVE costs
- Production nodes (Timber, ore, etc.)
Some of these have VERY high costs with TRASH yields with the best artisans, with +5 Farming and more. These costs are part of the issue.
- ALL workbenches
Several workbences across the game have 3-5 CP investments PER house.
NOW one place the Dev Note may have not been as specific as it *should* have been. Housing and Residence are TWO different things.
If you mean ONLY places that have Residence, then it should have BEEN explicity clear.
Because housing by ENGLISH Game translation...
...means ANY node inside the City / Town.
meaning all workbenches should have been updated and reduced as well.
But here we are. Global Labs rushed out this change, Completely changed what they promised in April, and then handed us this load of crap.
Sure. I was expecting 53 CP refund today, on JUST Nodes, not cities. But I only got 27 back.
Stop over-promising and under-delivering. IF you would have just said: "looking to reduce some CP cost." and said nothing else. I'd probably would have had a different point of view, mostly: "well, good start but needs more.". BUT you said - Across the board - so I was expecting, across the board level of changes.
Thank you all for your time,
- Nightingale
The best solution would be to introduce a CP experience flat rate above 500 CP; all CP points above 500 cost the same as the 500th point. I had to cook non-stop 14h/day to get 2 points per week. If someone invests the time, they should be rewarded.
I sit on a ton of gathering byproducts, not exchanging them for life skill XP only because the associated CP exp would go to waste.
Still hoarding all my stuff for an increased cp cap that will never come. This was fine. The worse was look we increased your cp by letting you buy fences. I'm sure they'll lower other cp nodes eventually too.
