having 1 whale randomly spawn on random channels is too strict. Why can't you make a whale area so people can kill them with ships instead of matchlocks. Or give us another way to obtain whale oil or something

Hunting guru 3 and never killed a whale. It could definitely dow ith looking at.

And its also requires a party to loot it, right? Even more restrictions.
Ive thought about doing whales too, but theyre such a hassle... I agree itd be amazing if they reworked the way to farm them.

It does not require a party to loot as long as there are not more than 20 "parties" hunting the whale. But if you are there together, might as well party up if there is room.
What would be nice would be if we could hunt whales in a platoon.

Well it could stay as it is as hunting mob. Just give us area on sea with whales with normal spawn. 2-3 whales and 5-10 minutes of respawn.
Same for khalks.
