The 60 second "anti afk" mechanic punishes boats and active travel where you hold down the forward key constantly while pressing other inputs, or in the case of a boat you hold W + Space while stearing with the mouse. The AFK Grinders griefed the rest of BDO with how they ruined the central market, and now they are continuing to grief everyone because we stop every 60 seconds.
The "AFK" grinding has largely been fixed by other means but the original attempt to fix it failed and is punishing to the game's population as a whole.
Worst fix ever desgined.
bandaid fix but they forgot the glue
It's the worst when you're trying to sail on a cog..
Maybe having autopath movement be the same as holding the mouse button would help with this problem.

Even holding down LMB or RMB times out after 60 seconds.
All this was done because one person had an issue with someone autogrinding pillars at Star's End, which I don't see how it's even possible.
No one grinds at Star's End anymore, as there is no point. So, this can't even be a problem anymore. Hence a "fix" was made for a tiny problem that created mass frustration until the game is shut off forever.
Brilliant, PA, brilliant.
Undo the "fix", okay? There isn't a problem anymore. Again, you've made Star's End irrelevant, so there is no issue anymore. Give us our continuous key input back.
I'm confused. What about this causes problems for boats? I've done a lot of bartering/smh and I'm not sure what afk mechanic you mean

If you hold W+Shift to move your boat while using your keyboard to steer your boat stops moving after 60 seconds because it loses the input on long trips.

Ohhh, I see. I almost always use the mouse.
