Title: Replace Fishing Resource Depletion with Bite Time Boosts
Family Name: Carp
Region (NA/EU): EU
Summary
Replace the current mechanic that punishes popular zones with slower bite times. Instead, introduce a rotating system where certain regions gain faster bite times for a limited time, encouraging exploration and reducing player friction.

Current Problems
The existing Fishing Resource system feels punishing and fosters resentment among players.
Bite times increase significantly in "depleted" zones, making fishing (both passive and active) less efficient and less enjoyable.
This creates a zero-sum, competitive system where players "steal" value from one another just by being nearby, and it does not effectively prevent monopolization of limited profitable spots.
Proposed Solutions
Adopt a positive Model
- Periodically (e.g., every 1-7 days), a few regions receive a bite speed boost
- Boosts are visible via map UI, NPC hints, or system messages
- Boosted zones offer ~50% faster bite times, encouraging players to move and adapt
Benefits
- Exploration: Revives underused regions without manual rebalance and incentivizes movement across the world
- Player Agency: Strategic players benefit from timing and zone awareness
- Encourages knowledge-sharing, instead of gatekeeping.
