Distant LOD issues after 28.04.2021 maintenance: missing distant objects, low-res objects when close by

Yes, agreed, things have definitely improved. Not just trees but also some other distance objects have returned if you compare. That is very nice! <3

The LOD seems still quite aggressive and I do not know if the game looks as good as it used to before early 2021, I am not playing for long enough so others need to judge.
FPS on ULTRA setting seem even slightly improved but I could be wrong on that. I was walking on Velia beach at the farming spot and looking at the mountains behind, it seemed really cosy and atmospheric now! :)

Glad we got the trees back. I wonder if they fixed the low-res textures when close by resp. far away objects stays low-res until you are really close issue as well. Wasn't online today until now. Gotta take a look for myself.

You are right - to everyone who contributed and has been keeping my - or rather our - thread alive, you have my thanks.
We made this happen, lads and lasses. After almost 22 months of looking at arid wastelands we got the distance-LOD back.
It'd still have been nice if some CM or GM had commented on this here during all this time, though.

Well, it shows that reasoning coupled with persistence and some goodwill do lead to a result after all.
The blurred closeup texture issue also appears to be gone this time for real. Or am I wrong?
Nah, still persists, stonetail horse farm´s ground looks like **** . :x

As far as the deduction of "Remastered" from their title, it shows they have a conscience. They were slowly trying to downgrade the quality of art, and couldn't anymore admit to their product being called "remastered" . I sincerely hope that degradation has been arrested.

Same. There are still a few distant LOD issues which need fixing, though.
Like objects staying low-res until one gets really close or not changing to high-res even when standing right on it.

At this point i am asking myself why we don't get simple graphic setting sliders.
Something like: "View range: close > middle > far (recommended) > remastered > ultra > unplayable but pretty > need RTX 4090 to run at 1 FPS"
All this popping and readjusting infront of you while you run is just ugly and annoying.
