As a long-time Succession Witch player, I’m very familiar with how the class functions at a core level. The change to give Witch the same Magical Evasion as Wizard is a overall bad change and will only be nerfing her. Witch’s current Magical Evasion is important to her gameplay it’s how she repositions, combos, and manages cooldowns. Her ability to “pocket” skills and reposition effectively depends on the timing and movement her current magical evasion . Replacing it with Wizard’s version would significantly disrupt this flow and strip away a key part of what makes Succession Witch distinct and effective. Please consider keeping Witch’s current Magical Evasion it’s not just a movement tool, it’s central to her entire kit and identity.
Its an absurd change... Im glad the skill is getting the SA it should've had from long, long, LOOONG ago but this isnt right.
If anything, we've been asking for Wizard to also have the same evasion (mobility-wise at least) in order to catch up with succ witch.
The mobility of succesion kits has been lacking for a long time. I was hoping to also see buffs to Earthquake evasion or even Earth's response for both kits, but this downgrade already kills any hope for PvP improvements.
Ah, I almost forget, protection buffs for PvE when? Skills like Frigid fog should have SA... what do we even need freeze CC for in PvE? -_-
I agree with the SA on Magical Evasion, however, they should have implemented it in reverse -> Apply the movement from Witch to Wizard. It makes zero sense to shorten the distance of the skill itself in a meta where so many classes have a tool bag of movement skills. To balance out the SA with the "blink" movement, a increase in stamina used would have been fair.
They almost got it right! It seems the devs are really apprehensive to buff this class to make it better because they think it will be what the succession kit was on relase.
I completely agree with this. If class mechanics are going to keep blending together, then what’s the point of keeping gender-locked classes? Let players choose their gender freely—it’s time LOL. Blink is more than just a mobility tool—it's a signature feature of the Witch's aesthetic and gameplay identity. Its style, fluidity, and feel are integral to what makes Witch unique and enjoyable lets be creative PA !
I want to respectfully express my concerns too about this change and what it represents for the identity of the class. While Witch and Wizard do share the same core kit, they have always offered distinctly different gameplay experiences. This difference has been one of the most important and defining aspects for players who choose one over the other. Those of us who have spent countless hours on Witch can immediately recognize that the class plays, feels, and flows very differently.
By aligning the movement mechanics more closely, especially through Magical Evasion, the unique identity of Witch risks being diluted. This could ultimately lead to both classes feeling too similar, removing the depth and personal preference that currently defines the choice between them.
Additionally, if class mechanics are going to continue merging in this way, it may be worth re-evaluating the necessity of gender-locked classes. At that point
Regarding concerns about uniqueness between Witch and Wizard, I think it's good so far.
For context, I play both Witch and Wizard equally and love them both in awa and succ, and Ive also played them both in PvE and PvP.
Im not trying to invalidate other's feelings about Witch or Wizard losing uniqueness by sharing mechanics between their kits but, in my opinion, Succ Witch being MMA focused and Succ Wiz being T3 Skill Reset focused is enough of a difference and I find them fun.
(Elemental infusion for succ witch teleport anyone? Hehe)
Awakening kits are also rather similar yet I havent heard complaints about uniqueness yet. I feel like offense/defense and burst dmg/continuous dmg are the main difference and that's enough IMO.
Mobility in Succ kits is something that cannot be trifled with. Strictly speaking we do not kite, we reposition. Classes like deadeye, archer or some Awa DK skills (shattering darkness) can keep up their DPS as they move (kiting) but our main issue is that our pressure halts briefly every time we need to move. Therefore I think it is very necessary to unify the mobility elements (EQ evade, ER, Evasion) in both classes as they have been unified in awakening, reaching a balanced spot. For the sake of uniqueness Witch should definitely retain her spell-storage effect on magical evasion, I dont think Wizard needs it because of his ability to reset cooldowns.
Finally, I reckon buffing Earthquake evade to function similarly to awakening Elementalization would be crucial for succession. It needs to be sped up, and add a brief iframe at the start of the dash. Some cooldown reduction, specially for Witch, would probably be necessary.

I'd have to agree, to some extent some things should be very similiar in style with both classes since all the skills are all the same except their unique passives. When Witch was given split tp, Wizard should have received the animation with magical evasion. I'm thankful for the SA but it's like getting half of a gift. Earthquake evade would greatly benefit from a speed increase and an iframe start up, I have been knocked out of the skill so many times it's very frustrating.
I think a better way to fix this was to give us 2 options. The non SA magical evasion and the SA magical evasion. like they do with the rest of the succession kit. for those who took time into mastering witchs kiting just doesnt go to waste but oh well i guess...
Wellp. I didnt expect pa nerfing a class with an already horrible performance on pvp.
The worst part, the sa isnt even a good sa bcs you cant linger the skill and magical evasion is heavily punished by hit acceleration and the short travel distance, creating a gap even worst than earth response which is an already problematic movement skill.
Totally agree if they revert this change, I rather prefer the unprotected skill than this useless bs.
Its crazy how awakening is now superior in every aspect, tankiness, damage and now even mobility.

I feel like i can't play my witch now, feels very weird, soo much different than before.
Super Armor is super welcome, but the animation is bad.
