Yep like when the whole MP had accessories for dust dailies/weeklies bought out. Ended up in billions of caphras having early information.

People shouldn't have to camp other country/region notes to try one-up.

It would be nice if people stopped regurgitating this myth already.

But it's not a myth, day before event came out, NA market was Sold Out of Blue Accessories. You could clearly see the spike in sales 2 days before the announcement.

It is a myth, the accessories were not sold out, there was a marketplace maintenance which returened all listed blue accessories back to their owners' warehouses prior to the announcement of the event. After the maintenance there was obviously an immediate surge of preorders, which, combined with people's inability to read in-game and website announcements was what created the myth.

very unlikely. many times done the same, late at night the SA patchnotes come out and you have time until next morning to buy stuff from MP. they would have to roll back thousands of market transactions if it was like you said.

same with global lab stuff. no, for sure they don't return all stuff between patch release on lab and on live.

That's why the mp maintenance happened on the day before patch in our regions, before any patch or event notes were released anywhere. No transactions were rolled back, the listed and unsold items were returned to players' warehouses, which was most of them, since nobody knew at that point they should be hoarding them. Pretty much anyone who had blue accs listed and was paying attention can confirm they got their orders dropped. I don't know how you managed to miss it, they spammed notifications all over the place on that day and the marketplace was shut down for like an hour.

That's right, they don't. This was a one time thing, likely because the event was expected to have a significant effect on the economy, which it did. Yeah, you can normally turn a profit by paying attention to lab and kr notes, like that time with rift remnants. Nothing wrong with that though.
