Awakening & Succession Lahn: What Still Needs Attention

Hi again,

A couple of weeks ago I outlined the problems Lahn faced after Mouse Movement was removed. At the time, I noted that Lahn wasn’t receiving the compensation it deserved.

This week’s GLabs update addressed some concerns for Awakening Lahn, but not for Succession. Key changes included:

  • Deadly Dance becoming a KD (as I suggested in my last forum post)

  • Allowing Ethereal Dance and Fragment Stigma to be used from I-frame Primrose Sprint.

  • Moving the Stiff from Furious Chase to Flailing Blades and adding FG to that skill.

  • Fixes to Deadly Dance/Bloody Stride chaining.

These are good steps for Awakening, but they don’t resolve several major issues affecting both stances. Below are remaining problems and suggested solutions:


Problems to Be Solved

Movement Speed

  1. Stately Dignity: Combine the 5% buff with Nimbus Stride’s 15% (total 20%), making it loopable.
    Lahn’s mobility dropped heavily after movement/attack speed changes, since her skills relied on attack speed. This helps restore pre-change speed.

  2. Zephyr I–XX: Add 0.5% movement speed per level (10% total).
    Further offsets lost mobility from the nerfs.

  3. Primrose Sprint II, Prime: Primrose Sprint, Nimbus Stride III: Revert to not scaling with movement/attack speed.
    Previously, these had fixed speeds. With new buffs, scaling would make them uncontrollably fast and unusable.


Awakening Lahn Skills

  1. Deadly Dance & Eradication (2nd hit / LMB Flow): Make turn radius more responsive. + Allow Stamina to regen during these skills.
    Without Mouse Movement, these skills feel sluggish and clunky. While the old flexibility was unintended, a supplement is needed.

  2. Primrose → Ethereal Dance/Fragment Stigma (Pre-Awake stance): Allow chaining from Pre-Awake.
    Awakening Lahn often uses Pre-Awake skills (Sacred Dance, Blade of Blood, etc.) to manage stamina. Being able to flow into Awakening skills directly reduces reliance on constant C-swaps or burning major cooldowns.


Succession Lahn Skills

  1. Prime: Furious Chase → Prime: Salpuri Purge: Fix inconsistent forward launch distance.
    The combo is supposed to cover large ground, but often fails without reason.

  2. Prime: Furious Chase → Prime: Salpuri: When used from Height, a fall animation occurs.

  3. Primrose Sprint → Prime: Salpuri: When used from Height, a fall animation occurs.                                                                                 When casting these sequences from Height, there is no graceful landing animation, it will just result in a falling animation.


Both Stances

  1. Phantom Dance: Reduce stamina cost to 200 (matching Evasion Roll iFrame).
    Lahn has long struggled with stamina; this change would ease the pressure.

Personally I'm a bit hesitant on giving Lahn both a 20% loopable MS% self-buff AND a 10% MS% passive. Before the "Class Reboot" she had a MS% passive instead of AS% passive, and that is where the main difference comes from. 

 

I believe that making Stately Dignity a 15% MS loopable self-buff would suffice to put her back up to her old level of movement and fluidity, and make her movement more competitive with recently released classes.

 

Other than that, I agree, great post.

If it only was that... Succ lahn is a mess, forgotten class since early 2022. We had 2 massive pve buffs patchs for all 54 specs but succ lahn got nothing, TWICE (only class that didn't appear in both pve buff patches). The class fell behind after 3+ years of not getting a single buff or QoL. Not talking about damage necessarly, but some QoL, some updates to the current meta, such as:
- Ap buff A/D+lmb should be deleted and added to a main rotation skill, like Cymbidium or Nether. +12 ap for 10s is a joke... when you pre-buff before flying in and then you do the landing/engage, the buff is half expired already... should be at least 15s pls.
- Salpuri 16s ??? hello?? must be 13 at least, is one of the main engages of the class.
- Flow Nimbus 27 SECONDS??? Any other class with almost 30s on their movement skills?? Also no mobility in close range, like Eradication from awakening, only Furious Chase spam unprotected and burning out the stamina.
-Lahn succ is the only assassin without iframes on the mobility/way out... what about making the 1s (each) nimbus duration an iframe so you dont get absolutely blasted mid air?? with shai buffs its even less, like 0.7s animation... not like you are about to break the class or something... most classes has iframes to disengage or escape like sorc has iframes, dosa has iframes, ninja has iframes, kuno has iframes, wizzards have iframes, hash has iframes, ranger has iframes, archer has iframes, deadeye has iframes... please.
- Most of the classes getting their CC protected or new classes with protection on their CCs while succ lahn has Salpuri (16s CD with literally 0 damage, floating+SA) and Cymbidium (frontal+bound direction "locked"). But in the mean while, awa has grab + SA KD on mangler, KD + SA on deadly dance or Eradication with the BON, Flailing blades stiffness+FG... all the last buffs/QoL went to awakening.
- DP debuff on the worst skills possible.
- 14 skills locked in a succession spec because doesnt have any Prime version, with damages like 800x2, 922 x5 , 1054x1... cmon...
- One of the squishiest classes in the game, making her end game pve hard as fk, while a lot of classes got +20dp addons. Also only 2 skills with hp recovery, one with 122hp 5 hits and the other 220hp 5 hits... Also barely no self addon, like critic chance, critic dmg, down attack dmg, + accuracy... absolutely nothing, just -20dp on 2 skills, +12ap and attack speed, thats all.
- No PVE and PVP damage-wise buff since May 2022 when they added 1 more hit to cymbidium... For the love of god i saw HAM454 3 days ago doing a calpheon siege and he couldn't kill a ranger alone full combo dealing like 70% her max hp (and crashing out because of how bad her state is right now)... the player top 1 succ lahn... An assassin with no grab, no high dmg, no tools for 1v1... nothing...
- HUGE stamina issues...
- Flames and vacuum hitting you while flying like 25m above them...
- Blade Dance doesn't do "down attacks" for some reason...
Awakening has grab + 2 SA KD +1 FG Stiffness, way more HP recovery for pve (7 skills with hp recovery, succ 2), more pve dmg than succ atm (succ pulling 38k at DSR, awa pulling 42-44k same Tides cap AP), fully protected rotations with SA+FG while succ has gaps at the start of 3 skills, 2 down smashes, att.speed debuff for enemies, movement speed debuff for enemies, pain damage dot for 18s, evasion debuff for enemies... and succ has literally nothing, like... being able to glide is more than enough to compensate??? 95% of the main succ lahns just rerolled from the class in the last 2 years.
The class is designed for punishing people out of possition, afk or making mistakes, but PA basically capped her dmg and her hability to do that... whats the point then? you fly in, CC 4 guys, no damage  to kill any of them, and instantly blow up because you are as tanky as a succ ranger...

The only classes i saw in a worst condition regarding PA paying attention to the class are awa maehwa and succ valk, and valk got a little buff recently. If they dont give her anything of this with this pvp patches, im out. Is not worth the time investment in my favourite class if all she can do is bother regroups and anti-cannon... Now you cant even clean rooftops because rangers melt you mid air.
I've been playing the class since August 2020, and i just saw my main class die slowly year after year of patches without paying any attention to her.
