From what I recall, they don't even want players to use the old menu. They wanted to completely remove it. The only reason it's still there is for people who are used to the old one, but they want players to use the new one. One way to incentize that is by making 0 QoL changes to the old menu and everything for the new, which seems to be their agenda.

What is the problem with the way the old menu is? If you can't find sometthing just switch over to the new one.
