The recent event for 5 edana pieces was a nice touch for us poorly skilled at combat adventurers. I have been able to get three pieces of edana, one of them to DUO. Even with this upgrades i still can not defeat Jordine. 

Ive barely played since the frist week of Edana, lots of AFK Fishing. Ive missed weeks of imperials because I see no point in playing anymore. I fully appreciate theres an element of skill issue to my problem but the fact progression is fully gated behind these bosses the first of which is hard enough. Running at 357/438 which should be plenty. Sure i can push through and spend several hours each week to do the boss for a single piece. but why? The gear is usless as the grind spots are equally difficult for a casual combat player. Eventually ill get endtimes and other upgrades through the CM. But with cyrstal breaking Im unlikely to EVER go back to any edana areas. 

Theyve tweaked Jordine a few times since release and its helped i can get further with him. But it takes so long like 7-8 minutes to get past stage one then in stage 2, also takes ages and theres too much on screen and I get wailed on when i loose track of jordine and they both get a hit on me. So I give up. Back to fishing and forgetting even imperials for another couple weeks. Maybe itll be a month before i try again. Then ill probably just slowly completely lose interest in the game. I was even logged off for like 4 days in a row this week which for someone with 65k hours on the account is a big deal. 

Everytime i think oh ill just life skill. I do it for like an hour & then think whats the point, the game is heading in a direction that is excluding me from so much content. A whole expansions worth with Edana. so i end up going back to afk fishing and just do something else.

I know im just moaning mostly but hopefully this is feedback they will see. Not every expansion should be catered for the top 2% of players

I agree with you.  Edania and its precursors drove me from BDO.  I see no reason to put myself through that misery.

This is the first expansion i believe ever that was designed as end game. It's the end of the story arc. I think they spent the most time working on Jordine, so he's actually the hardest boss. If you haven't watched guides/videos on the fight, I'd suggest doing that. It's not actually that bad once you have some idea what's going on. I will say they could cut down on the amount of effects, as it makes it hard to know what's going on sometimes.

Meh.  NO longer interested in their goofy story or boss mechanics, lol. 

I have watched guides. A pitiful boss design if you need to watch guides TBH. But anyway. I reckon i could do the boss if I waasted many hours each week skilling up with my class and mastering the mechanics. But as an older person with other stuff to do Im not dedicationg my limited non-afk play time to this boss. Which means I cant progress in the game. As the gear is now gated. If it was a one time boss id do at as i did with LotML Bosses. But now its mandatory to progres and its the 1st of 5 bosses. 

Edania was made for elite players with hours upon hours to play the game. Players who are probably younger and can do the reflex mechanics easily. The game now has a brick wall stopping progression. 

BDO is not Valorant, it should not emphasise reflex based gameplay. Things happening too quickly has made for lag, desync, crashes and bugs. The game should slow down to match its aging engine and playerbase. With the Edania expansion, the game seems to be more and more designed for professional esports players. Trouble is, those players have gone to one of the many super-popular esports where they can earn a salary that matches their professional skills. They are usually not whaling in BDO.

The bosses are definitely not esport level. I spent an hour or so trying to do the illezra fight, and gave up as there was just too much going on for me to keep up with. I didn't need more than 2 attempts on any of the bosses up through Cartian so far. So if you can do the solo boss blitz or illezra, there's really nothing stopping you from doing jordine and up.

As a long time gamer, bdo and other mmos like ff14 and wow included, as well as some console adventure games, I can say these bosses are not too hard. 

But for BDO players who dont play alot of raid content in other games or challenge hard mode on console games I can see how its a pain .

Agreed.  These guys are trying to moirph this game into something it's not and never will be.  I can deal with difficult things as long as they are enjoyable.  The Edania trash is annoying, boring and unenjoyable.  I have far better things to do with my time.  We are losing guild members who are fed up with this game.  GG PA.

Enjoyable is different for everyone. Just like moving on from a game seems to be different for everyone.
