as the title says failstacks are way too overpriced to get a 300 stack thats required for most end game gear and the sheer amount of 300 stacks we need tallies up to well over a trillion silver just in failstacks if you use origins and hungers. i get that you can use black stars to make failstacks but thats also not very enjoyable seeing as you have to do it somewhere around 40-50 times to get nov and dec accessory and oct-dec weapon and armors are so time gated you realistically want to only use 300 stacks starting at pretty low enh levels and thats not even counting all other enh levels that req sub 300 stacks. something really needs to be done by either buffing the rates those items give or adding monster zones in edania that make them accessable or both.
thanks
Cost of failstack is a problem certainly, but IMO the bigger problem is the average amount of cron stones/silver that you need to spend for endgame upgrades. 300 stack getting you around 5% enhancement chance is pretty rough. Unless you are doing a lot of grinding/whaling the game is likely to give you enough failstacks and dim origins to make getting a 300 stack realistic whenever you need one.
Try the Preonne jewerly set that have a fix rate all the way to Dec and just know you be using almost every time the max Argis so you end up using a tone of cron stone

im sitting at 386dp 453dp and going forward to get my last ap upgrades and armors up to lets say oct its somewhere in the ballpark of 700 - 800b in fail stacks so i cant imagine the number for people at different stages of the game. that being said tho the cost of the end game upgrades them selves are very expensive too.

If you're doing edania armors, you're basically using a 300+ stack by now at end game. The game certainly isn't giving you enough stacks/origins every week to keep up.
Once it became clear that Edania gear was not going to be reliable for tanking endgame enemies/bosses, I felt diminished enthusiasm for enhancing it, it feels like an endless treadmill rather than something that will meaningfully improve my game experience.
Cron stones are over price sorry I do not make 10 Billion every day to buy crons that will give me one try for and upgrade
Failstacks consist of two elements: time and cost.
With the introduction of Hungers, the time component was removed and the cost component was massively reduced. If you consider failstacks as the initial time/cost component to obtain an upgrade to your gear, removing failstacking and making it dirt cheap was a massive loss for the game.
Same story with downgrades. The player base hates downgrading, but by removing it we lost another time component to failstacking.
The result we can currently see is Cron Stone hell. Nowadays, enhancing feels like just an convertion of silver to gear and not an journey you beat.

I don't get it, we still have to option to make fail stacks the old way, as you said it's time consuming. Ideally you pick a number and once you reach that number on your failstack you should be moving onto the next stack and saving that next level of enhancement. So you shouldn't really ever feel like you lost value if your stack succeeds the enhancement, and if you do feel that what the next cloest stack you have wouldn't have been much more of a % increase in chance aways so you should just be happy it popped.

The idea behind failstacking was, that you always win no matter the outcome. Either the present you by succeding the enhancement or the future you by getting an valueable high stack which made future items cheaper to enhance. The only problem failstacking had, was that failstacks could not be sold; in terms of today: there was no ancient anvil system which could garantie you the item you wanted.
Now to your point, all you have to look is at the math, its simply terrible ineffient/you actively lose silver doing it. So your point is invalid, there is no reason to failstack if you simply can get the failstack you want 10x cheaper and instantly with hungers (or for free, since PA give them out like candy). Failstacking is a legacy system of the old days which lost all its good aspect.
