Dear PA,

Ever since receiving my current gear and reviewing the recent content updates, one question has continued to echo in my mind: What is the purpose of gear progression?

Why should players focus on progressing their gear? Is it simply to kill a few more mobs?


1. Lack of PvP Content

Gear-fixed or capped PvP:
Currently, there’s no real PvP content that rewards or even requires meaningful gear progression. The best PvP mode in the game, Arena of Solare (AoS), uses fixed gear. If AoS is the main competitive content and only requires a character at level 60, what’s the incentive to enhance gear beyond that point?

Lack of Open-World PvP:
Open-world PvP has become nearly nonexistent. Since the removal of the guild war declaration system, it feels like that entire aspect of the game has died. I strongly suggest bringing back the war declaration system, perhaps with some limitations—such as time-restricted wars (2–3 hours) or a set number of declarations allowed per guild each week or month.

Defensive Crystal Balance:
The current state of defensive crystals is problematic. In a PvP-focused game, there should never be “unkillable” players. I propose that the effects of defensive crystals diminish beyond a certain threshold (for example, after equipping two or three full sets). Without this, certain classes continue to ruin the experience in open-world PvP, Red Battlefield, and uncapped Node/Siege Wars.

The idea that full-dec players only participate in capped Node Wars is absurd—it undermines the entire point of gear progression.


2. Class Imbalances

It feels as though certain class imbalances are being allowed to persist intentionally, which is concerning. It’s hard to believe that the developers of such an amazing game would leave these issues unresolved. If financial incentives are driving this, please reconsider—because continuing down this path will only alienate your player base. People want a fun, fair experience, not a broken one.

Underwhelming Class Balance Updates:
After waiting so long for balance changes, the results were disappointing. Some classes still dominate every form of content—capped or uncapped, large-scale or small-scale, even in 1v1 situations.

Broken Class Features:
There are numerous examples of overpowered or poorly balanced abilities. I won’t list them all, but here are a few critical issues that need urgent review:

  • Full I-frame or Super Armor movement chains making some classes nearly untouchable while dealing massive damage.

  • Excessive damage output while moving or flying.

  • Huge AoE abilities with multiple CC effects that are nearly impossible to escape.

  • Block jumps and ranged grabs that completely disrupt combat balance.

  • Shield-holding (Q-block) abuse.

  • Vacuum-like crowd control skills that feel broken and unfun to play against.


In Conclusion:
Gear progression should feel meaningful and rewarding. But with limited PvP content, unbalanced classes, and defensive mechanics that undermine fair combat, it currently feels pointless. I hope these points are taken seriously and that meaningful improvements are made for the long-term health of the game.

Even for the PvE rather than PvP focused player, there's not much point in gear progress. With 5% AP cap everywhere, AP gear upgrades can't improve your grind efficiency or allow for reduced APM to avoid strain. Alongside that, many bosses spend half the fight in i-frame, which negates your AP because it's impossible to hit them. And all the one-shot mechanics along with sheet DP having limited effect on total DP make DP gear improvements have limited importance as well. Gear needs to be made more important overall, in an organic rather than artificial way.

during an event Patrigo sold lots of crons, great. now it's rare he offers only a 10 cron package to buy. i went through all my characters energy to buy only a 10 cron package. at that rate i'll be able to have enough crons for my next upgrade in about 10 years.

People have spent RL money to buy pearls to buy crons to enhance gear. Making gear progression pointless is disrupting PA's profitability. Gear progression already mattered too little before the combat system rework (buffs, crystals etc. mattered much more). Making gear progression matter even less after the combat rework than it did before was not the right direction to go in. I hope that PA soon realizes how important making gear progression meaningful and realistic is for profitability and player retention.
