Hi everyone ,this is my first post in the forum , im actually a returned player afther 5 years and i feel pretty overwhelmed by the amount of content , quests and things to do. And for some reason everyone seems to be fishing haha. 

Now i created a season character and level it up until 60 , its an explorer, and i graduated with the full Pen Tuvala gear. 

The point of me writing this is , now what can i do? i know that there is life skilling but i dont know where to start or why even its important  to do it ,to get silver?

I would very much apreciate some kind of guide or structure to follow and the reasons to do it thanks.

Hi there, Since the game is so big, there are many things you can do. If you want to make the most silver per hour actively, then your best bet is to grind monsters. Usually, when you just graduated seasons, you want to focus on some of the easier spots that are appropriate for your gearscore. Usually, as a new (or returning after a long time) player you want to get your infinite potions first. While doing that, focus on getting all the free gear and the free Stats that you can get. Here is a guide for the adventure journals for free stats: https://www.blackdesertfoundry.com/adventure-log/

Also make sure to complete all questlines, as Kamasylvia, Odyllita and Land of Morning Light each unlock some more free stats.

You can also get a lot of free gear, such as TET and PEN Blackstars, a free 2 AP Alchemy stone, PEN Boss armors and lastly a TRI Slumbering Origin armor. You also want to make sure to complete the Magnus questline, as not only does it give you a lot of freebies, but it also unlocks teleports between regions, and shared storage between regions. 

For lifeskilling, basically the one with the best income is Hunting, but that needs a bunch of setup and some lifeskilling levels already. For a beginner, it is probably easiest to start with some gathering and cooking. I recommend joining the lifeskilling discord for specific advice: https://discord.gg/GUsNAYT

As for why everyone fishes, that is simply because AFK fishing is the best AFK income at the time. Even with the most basic rod, you can get some nice passive money at the hotspot in Heidel. If you do any AFK content, I recommend just staying there until you have a lot of Mastery (2000+), and just fishing there (and turning in your fish somewhere in the Land of Morning Light with the magnus teleports).

Now I know it is quite daunting to have this many things to do, but you can take it easy and just slowly approach everything. I usually recommend joining a beginner friendly guild (see guild adverts here on the forums or on the discord), and also joining the BDO official discord: https://discord.gg/blackdesertonline so you can ask any question when it comes up, rather than having to wait for someone to visit the forums.
