What do ya'll think, scrapped? Or delayed until after Edania part 2?
It would be weird of them to scrap a whole part of the map but the fact that they haven't said a single word about it since the intital tease is concerning. Guess we'll see if it's mentioned in a week at the ball.

I don't think it's scraped... they can only do so much at a time, so I understand. I'm thinking delayed until after Edania Part 2. I'm thinking we'll see it in the Summer. They'll likely have another class that comes out with it. A male counterpart to the Drakania maybe?

well yeah.. when they've tied their hands behind their backs by dedicating all but the most Intern'y of Interns to actually working on this project as opposed to their crunching on Crimson whatever. All for for the sake of what? ...a Playstation 5 release, and *maybe* some Steam sales too? ...but I guarantee they won't be seeing StellarBlade or Megabonk numbers on it. Consoles are kind of a dead end already.... hence why the gabecube is not actually a console and also has such compatibility with Linux-developed apps
..
As for the storyline... WHY? Story is not why anyone plays this title... ...what the game needs is some major expansion of the Lifeskilling content that is NOT fishing or AFK focused. Now the rest of that mountain area could provide that too if they utilized that huge harbor we see connecting to the straights of Altinova. They started on improving wagons, and they promised to bring back Trading. They could even leverage mechanics tied to that, to connect a route from that body of water over to Odyltta or something in between if they really want to make Lifeskilling competetive again with their degenerate grinding meta they've backed themselves into a corner over..
...
...whatever the case is, just adding more grinding zones and more tedious minor enchantments or stat increases through cups or whatever is not going to reverse the downward trend in activity. Log-in metrics alone are not going to sustain this franchise while real investors are only looking for bullcrap in the tech space that "harnesses A.I."

They've definitely tied their hands up. Maybe after Crimson releases, they'll allocate resources back to BDO. And maybe the Crimson sales will give a significant boost to what PA can do for BDO. Crimson's a single player RPG. Usually with games like that, once it's made, that's it... your designers can focus on something else (hopefully not a NEW project). Every now and then, there might need to be tweaks and bug fixes to Crimson but there won't have to be constant updates like with BDO.
I'll play the hell out of single player RPG but it'll only last so long cause the story is really a big focus. Like you said, BDO isn't played so much for the story/lore... it is fun to do once or twice... but not with 30 different classes.
