I will start by saying I'm new to the game, but I had some ideas I would like to share. If you're a more experienced player and disagree, please do educate me. I would rather understand why something wouldn't work rather than just a reply saying "This is dumb" or the like.. Thank you!

- I would love to see Horses Captured Count in the P -> History window.

- A few more benefits to having high Horse Training Mastery. (The chance of breeding higher tier horses is nice but other than that, the 20%ish Mount Exp you can get from 1250 mastery is not worth it because you can obtain this same benefit by buying or creating a +3 Silver Embroidered Trainer's Clothes. (Which is Billions cheaper) or Training Lifeskill (Higher than Master+)

Example 1: Reduce the taming mini-game timer every 5 Mastery "brackets" starting 500+ capped at 1250. (0-500 is 10 seconds, 501-750 is 8 seconds, 751-1000 is 6 seconds and anything above 1001 is 5 seconds.) Alternatively, 2 seconds every Lifeskill Rank after Professional. (Professional and under: 10 seconds, Artisan: 8 seconds, Master: 6 seconds and Guru: 5 seconds.) I believe 5 seconds would still be a good amount of time to break your spacebar in your favor to tame the horse. Other lifeskills have quality of life improvements like reduced time when cooking, obtaining more product when gathering or process more items at the same time. Horse training needs a little bit of Quality of Life as well.

Example 2: At Master+ Lifeskill rank or 750+ Mastery, a random chance of tamed horses being Lv.10+ up to Lv.15. Following a similar bracket as above.

- Can we have a Foal pet? or a miniature Pony? That would be adorable as hecc! Can slap some horse training benefits on it too. :D

And a few things I would like to see input from other players:

- An EXP-scale principle should be applied for the tier of horse you tame. At least T4-5 should give a recognizable amount of EXP over T1-3 when tamed.

- Only Master+ should be able to awake the other two T10 Mythical horses and I say these two cause it is probably too late to change the Fern Root daily to a Horse Trainer exclusive... Or at least let Master+ be the only ones who can farm one of the material for the awakening item, which they could sell in the Central Market. It is common knowledge that Horse Training is a Silver sink more than it is a money-maker. Would be nice if you give us something to work with. Other lifeskills have content locked behind rank that are very beneficial, just like the cooking boxes that need Master+ or Guru+ etc. Horse Training only has auto-sprint locked behind Artisan.

- And my last suggestion for now, as I dont know if this could be done, I would like to see a different kind of Life EXP% buff for horse trainers, even if this means we have to trade in our normal "Extra Life EXP Scrolls" for a dedicated one with an added cost or item needed in the exchange. Here's why: Horse Training EXP only increases when you either tame a horse or level up one. Imagine if you, as a gatherer, wanted to use a 1 hour EXP scroll but instead of getting EXP for every bush you frisk. You only got EXP ticks after a 30second gathering time to obtain Everlasting Herbs and having to take the item to town, to a dedicated storage space that is usually no bigger than 10 and does not stack. Back and forth, back and forth cause you can only do one item at a time. Sounds like 60% of the EXP buff is wasted in that commute no? And bad luck if the very specific spawn is not there. Maybe a dedicated Life Scroll buff for horse trainers could give you +30% EXP for, let's say... 10 captured horses.

Thank you all for the read, I'd love to hear your thoughts below :D

I just thought of something else:

-More side/daily quests or challenges with Training EXP as reward. I have seen more than plenty of quests that grant you Gathering or Farming EXP and only Shamhain's quest in Stonetail Ranch gives Training EXP that I have seen. Perhaps all the quests given by Stable Keepers could award Training EXP.

-Give us an option to filter the horse market by [Breeding =0] or [Breeding>0] left on the horse.

-Give us an option to filter the horse market by Courser = Yes, No, Both.

-A horse's price adjusted based on breed chances left; females and males should cost the same if they have no breed chances left.

-Dream horses should not have an added price based on male/female or breeding status. They can't breed so it makes no difference.

Other Horse Racing suggestions:

- Remove catch up mechanic. If you fail your start accel, missed your turns and screwed your speed boosts. You shouldn't be able to reach the person who did it perfectly.

- Reduce the size of the colliion boxes. They're far too big; that you can't fit 7 players in the start line side by side. And it has unfair physics during the race. Sure, if I was trying to headbutt right behind another player I would understand if I slow down. But 2-3 players can catch up and somehow push you behind. Funny enough if you try to do the same, you just waste your speedboosts as if you were running against a wall.

- Provide more generic rewards for the Horse Race Seal Exchange. Most items you can obtain from this feature are horse related, meaning a big portion of the players are not interested in it. If you could obtain more generic rewards such as Ancient Spirit Dust, Cron Stones, Scorched Fragments, Magical Shards, etc perhaps more players would be interested in participating.

p.s. I have made my gameplay mostly revolve around horse training so I'm not too sure what other types of players might find appealing. The examples I provided might be bad, but you get the idea.

Please give us a lobby where we can sign up first and only get ported when there's enough people to start a race. Not even the terrible mechanics stop me from wanting to race... you know what does?

Port in, Wait, No Participants, Port out.

Port in, Wait, Two people join, Not enough participants, Port out.

Port in, Wait, 3 People, Port out.

Port in, Wait, The othe two people disappeared, No Participants, Port out.

Port in, Wait, No Participants, Port out.

- Alternatively, since a lobby sounds like a foreign term for BDO. Add a system alert.

If you think I care about all my guildmates leveling up and reaching a lifeskill rank, then give me an option to see notifications when people sign up to a track. Even if it's just the first person, I'm sure more people would sign up if they saw a pop up saying "A race will begin shortly in x Track!"  and obviously an option to toggle it off.

- Give better rewards for harder tracks. I have raced 2 times in Velia and 0 in Calpheon. I have NO interest whatsoever on completing harder tracks for the same prizes. (And if there are, then don't mind me. I wouldn't know cause I haven't finished Velia track even once.)

- Increase the window in which players can complete a race after the first 3 places crossed the finish line. If the catch up mechanic was to be removed, mistakes would be costy. I don't think 30 seconds instead of 10 would hurt anyone to let others finish the race. Them getting their completion reward won't take away your prize from the first three spots.

- Let us see the name of the horse we are purchasing from the market. A little bit of a rant: But seems ridiculous I can't name my horse Nate but my friend bought a horse from market named "n-word f-word"... really?

-The way we can post in the Horse Breeding Market for own use, let us put horses for sale/ breed only viewable by others in our friend's list

I just made a post about this because, as a trainer, it irks me that I can't participate in races because no one queues for them. Thus I get no seals to buy training specific buffs, nor can I finish the daily/weekly quests for awakening mats. I think you're correct that most people aren't leveling training, so don't care about the exchangeable goods.
Feels bad, man.

Would be nice if the materials for T10 Dine and Doom are given in horse racing. Because let's be honest, as much as we want end-game exclusive content to reward high-ranked players in Training Skill, BDO won't lock T10 behind a feature they treat as side content.

A lot of people who just bought their horses and got Apprentice for Auto-sprint, started doing Wapra's dailies to obtain a T10. The same should be done in horse racing. Would bring an influx of participants which would benefit the otherwise dead feature. Win-win.

-The Taming mini-game should be easier the higher strength stat your character has. You're literally "wrestling" the horse, would make sense this was easier if you are stronger.

- Reduce the time your character spends shaking its head after failing to tame a horse. Solid 10 seconds of my life just watching my toon being dramatic each time I fail the mini-game.

I just gave this more thought and I can elaborate the idea I had, while also addressing one of the biggest flaws in Horse Training explained below:

It is no secret that Horse trainers and no-trainers alike agree that the chance of creating a natural T8 Courser to awaken is a impossibly small, minuscule, microscopic, non existant chance. Would not surprise me if it is by design, so players spend money on Skill Change Coupons. All of this of course under the concept that we don't NEED Dream horses. But if we label it like that and closed the topic, we would agree it is p2w content. Which beats the "work and grind your butt off" to obtain end-game content.

And being honest, I understand the "pay for higher chances but nothing is guaranteed" model. And this game is designed so you are subject to RNG and a heck load of a grind and that's alright too. But the Courser System is way too far on the p2w model.

I am not exaggerating just to get a point through. Ask any horse trainer about T8 coursers and they WILL mention Skill Change Coupons, no exceptions. If you ask about the "Mount Brand Spell Coupon" they will also agree it is not worth it. So here are a few suggestions on how this could be tweaked in favor of the player, without making Skill Change Coupons unncessary.

Suggestions that would be nice, but would not really fix the system:

- Buff the Mount Brand Spell Stone.

Was thinking that perhaps, This item could upon use:

1. Give your horse one new skill guaranteed.

2. Random fixed change give you 1-2 extra skills.

Even raise the price if needed to support these changes.

Meanwhile Mount Skill Change Coupons would still remain in the pearl shop for easy 24/7 access to donators. But award them in ingame systems more often for f2p players. Not only would a change like this encourage more people to buy Branding Stones for mounts (Since some Trainers already use Premium app coupons for the chance of extra skills), but it would properly reward your donators and give more flexibility for the f2p trainers. As well as it cannot be abused as this can only be used per mount afaik.

- Let us buy Mount Skill Change Coupons on the Central Marketplace.

- Add a couple of Mount Skill Change Coupons in Black Spirit's Adventure boards. (1 or 2 across all boards.)

- Alternatively, swap one Event Courser Training Item in the Attendance Rewards for 1 Skill Change Coupon. (Mysterious Blue Conch, Fruit of Yianaros and Crimson Fire Flowers. I have to admit giving Awakening materials for free to players who might never get a T8 Courser, unless they spend money of coupons, is kind of silly.) And the other two with "[Event] Rare Courser Training Box"

- Give a Mount Skill Change Coupon when a Trainer Imperial Delivers a T5+ Horse that either:

1. Is a courser

2. Is Lv. 30

Even lock it behind Master Rank to reward the lifeskill grind.

(This also considering that the Mount Skill Change Coupons for loyalties might not be avilable forever.)

Suggestions that would alleviate the process for f2p players by providing rewards for effort:

When a player has Master or Higher rank in Training they could:

-Have a Random chance of obtaining a Foal / Miniature pony pet from breeding. The higher the tier horse bred, the higher the chance.

Could even have a cute item description like: "This foal was found next to your mare and would not leave it's side. We don't know where it came from but you seem like the right person to take care of it."

This pet would:

1. Give Mount Skill Learn Chance +1% at T1.

2. At T4 the pet would give 5% Mount Skill Learn Chance. (You can have 5 pets a time, which would mean 25% Mount Skill Learn Chance tops. Which is the same bonus as being Master 2 in Training.)

3. If that is too much, cap each T1 pet at 0.5% and T4 at 3%, which would mean 15% with 5 pets.

-Give an increased chance to learn a new skill if you Master an existing skill on the horse. (Train it to 100%) Much like leveling up and "the chance of it learning a skill has increased" Which I assume works similar to a failstack.

-If a player with Master Rank breeds a courser, the offspring can be born with 3 skills. If a player with Guru Rank breeds a courser, the offspring can be born with 4 skills.

-Each Tier of Horse should have a set of 4 random numbers assigned from 10-30 in which they 100% learn a skill. For example:

T1 - T2: 13, 18, 21, 27

T3- T4: 12, 20, 22, 28

T5: 14, 21, 27, 30

T6: 15, 19, 25, 29

Could even increase it for higher tiers from Lv.5-30 and 5 guaranteed skills:

T7:  6, 10, 14, 24, 30

T8: 7, 15, 21, 26, 30

This would be a small push that would help players train coursers and while I'm not terrific at math; giving 4-5 guaranteed skills is not game-breaking in my opinion, specially when a T8 courser needs SEVEN skills out of a 20-skill pool. Seven skills from which 3 of those skills have LESS than 1% chance to be learned with every level up.

And because of this suggestion you can understand that a skill is NOT guaranteed on level up. (Of course the set of numbers would not be disclosed to players and could even be random with each coat, just like skill chances are.)
