Now that PA said they'd tweak lifeskills, thought it's worth a shot reviving this thread of mine.

 

- Please change the Key needed to mount or dismount your horse. I have seen plenty of people request this. Possibly cause half of the times you press R while mounted you don't do the desired action. Wanna talk to an NPC? Now you dismounted. Wanna dismount? Let's strike up a chat with some random NPC nearby.

-Also increase how big our "Area of Interaction" is while mounted. I have to clip half my horse into an NPC to talk to them. (I know I can go around this with the mouse option but I don't like using that mode. I shouldn't be forced to struggle or use a mode I don't like when a simple fix would suffice.)

Let me explain. As this isn't the only example but it's the most obvious.

You can't talk to Merindora while mounted, unless you wiggle enough to a very specific position so your blue circle merges with her. If you try to dismount to get closer, you'll just interact with the Papu circled in Red. So you have to back up while mounted enough to dismount and then get closer again to interact with Merindora. This would be easily fixed if the "Area of Interaction" or blue circle was bigger while mounted.

 

Changes to Horse Gear:

- Let us have the Set effect of +1% movement speed regardless if the apparel equipped is not the same type. E.g. if I'm using Oquilla barding, stirrups and saddle but paired with Anemos champron.

-Separate some of the mount gear visuals for more mix and matching possibilities. 

1. Horseshoe apparel item slot. Which would take those armor pieces in the horse's legs. 

Example: Lahr Arcien with and without horseshoe equipped. For those bardings that do not have leg pieces, they would occupy both slots. Just like fashions without actual gloves take up both slots such as Marine Romance.

2. A similar setting to "Cape" in characters, that could hide some part of the barding.

Example: Termine set with the "cape" turned off and "cape" turned on. Could even keep the first layer of ruffles I marked with a red dotted line.

Don't be too harsh, they're Paint edits. You get the idea.

Another racing rework???
I know it's unlikely, but..... here's my shot
If you want to horse race in NA, you have to beg other people or find people whose times match with yours to join. Not many do it anymore. It was pretty much dead after the first few weeks. So I propose two options:

1.) The more likely, quality of life improvements:
- No more body blocking with other racers
- When not full, fill with bots to race against
- Decrease the catchup mechanic, allow good racers to get further ahead

- Allow racers to see lobbies to see which has people in them

- Allow those with disabilites an option to keep it day time while racing

- Better rewards, make t10 material "Royal fern" reward for top 3 places


2.) Completly revamped, fun and enjoyable gamemode:
"Mario kart" like
Alicia Online has a great example of what fun, repetitive races look like:
Magic Racing in Alicia Online

Could include race-only t9s -> Race maps through desert with Dine, actual flight with Arduanatt in skies, "jousting" knocking people off mode with doom?
Dine races: In the desert, with forms of magic conjured by her horn. Special magic occurs when filling the gauge - Decrease others speed, boost your own speed, knock someone off their horse, stun someone for 2seconds, etc. Fill guage by meeting checkpoints. Following another dine's grass trail increases following speed.
Arduanatt races: Race through the skies, actually fly through checkpoints. Could have an alternative route on ground for those who want to take shortcuts on ground or weren't able to go through the checkpoints that make them fly. Fill guage by meeting checkpoints. Activating a full guage increases speed for a certain amount of time. Following another arduanatt's feather increases following speed.
Doom races: More horse pvp focused. Race through terrain and try to knock others off their horse first. Last racer standing wins. Score board, so top 3 still get good prizes. Could be team based or indivual based.

3. On Champrons, give us a dye channel for the Reigns. 

4. Remove the overlapping graphics of reigns.

5. Restore the Design on the reigns instead of making it barding-only. Some champrons already do this like Oquilla and Anemos. 

Example: Dragon Knight champron has red rope-looking reigns and hanging decors which are gone when you equip the champron only. The champron should keep these parts of its design even when equipped separately.

Global Lab Patch notes as of Feb 25th, show that Mythical Dine will ue the EXACT same censer used for Mythical Arduanatt Awakening.

NOT acceptable. We have listed the reasons plenty of times.

Listen to your players PA, because I lost any hope I had left that you listen to NAEU feedback. I didn't want to believe the "trolls" who said posting on this forum is uselees. But it's looking really bad.

My last suggestion: At least let us cron our Mythical Attempts (100-200 crons) and in exchange we get back a random amount of ferns. Between 20-50.

I have a couple of random suggestions regarding horsing about. I've been unsure where to put them so will just do so here. They're mainly to do with experience and becoming a better trainer through the active training mechanics already in-game:

Taming Wild Horses:

- Horse mastery/level could reduce the 10 s time required when wrangling a horse.

- Taming difficulty could be related more closely to horse tier & stabling a horse could give experience proportional to its tier.

Training Horse Skills:

- Actively horse training a skill to 100% could give training experience; Either when reaching 100% or, ideally, for each 1% increase. Increased relative experience gain for training Courser Skills.

- Horse level/mastery could increase the chance of learning a skill upon use/successful mini-game when it's not 100%.

- Horse level/mastery could reduce the chance of your horse trying to throw you off when learning a skill.

Leveling a Horse:

- Leveling up a horse could give training experience proportional to the horse's level. E.g. leveling from 26 to 27 could give more experience than 8 to 9. 

- Leveling up a horse could give training experience proportional to the horse's tier.

- Increased relative experience gain for leveling a Courser, in relation to the two above points.

 

Horse Racing:
- Daily horse race quests could be specific for each track. E.g. Finish in the top three at the Calpheon Racetrack.
- Valencia/Kamasylvia/Driehgan/O'draxxia tracks could be added.

- Horse Racing rewards could include scrolls that a) improve level experience for a horse, and b) Life Skill Training experience.
