Since the 24th of December, the 2025 edition of the yearly lore exam is on!

Welcome to this year’s lore exam, offered by the University of Calpheon.
You will be presented with questions about the world of Black Desert in different formats, divided into four sections. This exam will evaluate your knowledge of the following topics: history, religion, geography, and ecology.

The syllabus for studying:
– Ancient history: The rise and fall of Orzeca
– Modern history in the world of Black Desert (1 EC - 234 EC)
– Contemporary history in the world of Black Desert (235 EC - Present)
– Religion in the Tribal Nation of Drieghan
– Religious beliefs of Mediah
– Geography of the Black Desert continent
– Mythology: The Gods of the Far East
– Fauna and flora of the Black Desert continent

You can obtain a maximum of 10 points. You will pass if you score 6,5 points or more. No points will be deducted for providing incorrect answers.

Those who pass the exam will be given a certificate of sufficient (6,5 to 7), satisfactory (7 to 9), or excellent (9 to 10) knowledge of Black Desert’s lore. Additionally, the participant with the highest score will receive 50€ as a prize. If several participants reach the maximum score of 10 points, the prize will be given to the one who turned in the exam first.

The deadline to turn in the responses is the 25th of January 2026, at 23:59 (UTC). After that, the exam will be over, and the grading process will begin. The time for this process will depend on the number of participants. Once it is finished, the results will be released with the scores of all examinees.

If anybody doesn’t want their score to be public, please check the option in the form; their entry will then be shown as ‘Grass Beetle.’
