Change Pen godr-ayed staff to blackstar

Is it possible to reform/change the Pen godr-ayed staff to blackstar staff?
As I remember, the soveriegn weapons was not invented at the time I chose godr-ayed as my preferred - during pre graduation.
Now I am stuck with it.
The godr-ayed can't be upgraded to sovereign - and as we know I need to blackstar mains to create one sovereign.
So ...
Is it possible in ANY way to change/reform the godr-ayed to blackstar?
If so ...
Can any knowledgeable player (or dev) list the entire/complete process - step by step including needed resources?
I don't need off topic comments please.

You can change the Godr-Ayed item into a blackstar at pen by using the Scorching Sun Crystal . Once its a PEN Blackstar, you can use it for Sovereign
