This is a post about ONE SIDED DEC'ING, For new players they have never experienced how older bdo was. People were punished for being pieces of shit in OW because the community could self police instead of aiding the activities of active griefers. Now, these days if you get griefed (by someone killing you or grinding over your mobs or ect...) The only possible solution is to watch them, call guildies over to watch them or swap channels in which they can follow you and continue to grief. People need to be held accountable and getting rid of the punishment method that was in the game was the worst possible change. All getting rid of this system did was make it so the people of the game could not punish griefers or dumb people for being annoying. We have the protection system in guild incase there are individuals that dont want to participate in the war dec. There was already a solutions for that. I pray PA wakes up and understands that this needs to reimplimented to revive this game to the glory it once was, all other steps the game has taken recently has been positive and I hope that they are able to go that same direction in this catagory as well.
Agreed. There are MANY more channels than there were at launch (there were only three) and ways to protect guildies from participating in guild wars as you've mentioned. Players should be allowed to handle things ourselves (with the tools the game provides) rather than be babysat and micromanaged. It's supposed to be a mature game. This game was designed with PvP being the main objective, which is why it's so competitive. With karma being family-wide and the removal of one-sided decs, players are unable to defend themselves (can't go red to defend spots). They should also make other grindspots more viable to spread the population out more. There are so many dead and wasted zones.
Sadly though you still have people who cry about PvP (even though it's basically dead even on Arsha). Even if one-sided decs were restored you'd still have plenty of ways to avoid PvP; small guilds are unable to be dec'd on (unless that changed) and there are, as previously mentioned, many channels to go to now (including Olvia for beginners and Season servers). There's also Marni Realm. I remember using strategy to outmaneuver red players, miss those days...
PA needs to enhance unpopular grindspots, there are indeed very few locations where people like to grind. PA is cautious about putting emphasis on PvP because the PvP system has a number of difficult issues and bugs with the mechanics.
you know that when you dec a guild its up to that guild to accept said dec now don't you?

This was not the case. Maybe you're mixing it up with there being 3 SERVERS at launch each with about the same amount of channels as we currently have.
There are so many grind zones and ways to avoid players, I'm not sure you actually play the game.
