On North America Server there is a massive issue of Magical Shard availability.  This is a big problem due to the sheer number of different items that use magical shard at ALL levels of gameplay.  From Life Gear, to PVE crystals, to nearly every upgrade at the endgame, the strain on the player base has become too great.

At the time of this post there are over 810,000 Orders at MAX price on the central Market for "Sealed Black Magic Crystals" and an additional 80,000 Orders at MAX price for "Magical Shards"

The following is a small change Pearl Abyss can do to both alleviate the strain on the Magical Shard market and increase the profits of a couple of the mid game grind locations (old and new) and some of communities all time favorite grind locations and contents.

Allow the "Heating" for "Magical Shards" of several Crystals currently bottomed out on the Central Market including:
All Crystals Dropping from Dehkia 2 grind spots as well as from the new Dehkia Murumok and Gyfin (Min Value: 100 Million silver, Max Value: 1 Billion Silver)(Suggested Magical Shard Yield: 100-120, effectively putting the Value of the crystals when Magical shards are max price between 600-720 Million leaving room for people that need the crystals for grinding while also allowing these crystals to bottom out when Magical Shards are low) List Bellow:
Crystal of Unyielding Spirit (11,161 currently listed at absolute Min)
Crystal of Dogged Patience (6,627 currently listed at absolute Min)
Crystal of Stalwart Fortitude (Low stock currently around 200 Min)
Crystal of Precise Destruction (34,328 currently listed at absolute Min)
All Levels of Primordial Crystals including: (Min Value: 135 Million Silver, Max Value: 5 Billion Silver)(Suggested Magical Shard Yield: 120-150 effectively putting the Value of these crystals between 720-900 Million Silver when Magical Shards are max price but again allowing the crystal to bottom out when shards are not needed). List Bellow:
Bonghwang's Tear (38,100 currently listed at absolute min)
Haetae's Tear (39,093 currently listed at absolute min)
Girin's Tear (15,780 currently listed at absolute min)
Haetae's, Bonghwang's, Girin's Crystals (All Together: 49,840 currently listed at absolute min)(Suggested Yield: 20-25)
Haetae’s. Bongwang's, Girin's Fragment (All Together: 38,200 currently listed at absolute min)(Suggested Yield: 10-12)

In addition to the aforementioned crystals PA could also allow base crystal materials items to be melted for Magical Shards such as: Olucus, Ah'krad, Clear Blackstar Crystal, Kuadir Fragment and so on... 
 
Please give serious consideration to these proposed changes to help out your player base.  Many of whom are currently going backwards on the grind zone ladder to get magical shards.  (We are grinding DSR/Tungrad over Edania spots for Magical shards. NOT Hungers...)

Edit: New BMC and Magical Shard order Numbers as of 2/17/26 (5 days into 100% droprate and Red Horse Box Events. These events have very slightly helped Magical Shard order numbers but not BMC numbers...)

Edit: New BMC and Magical Shard orders as of 3/8/26 (We are 1 month into 70-100% droprate events and events droping extra magical shards and Sealed BMC from ALL grindzones... The orders are down but its not enough.  these events will end and the market will go right back to increased orders)

Massive support on this. Magical shard shortage has been a thing for way too long. I literally went back to tungrad to get magical shards for the new crystals, the new sovereign recolours, and HAN crystals. Either give us more sources of magical shards, or reduce how many are required. EVERY. SINGLE. NEW. RECIPE. 300 magical shards! EVERY TIME! WHY?

Anyways. Huge support. Good ideas.

The fact that the new corrupted crystal which is only 30 pity but requires 300 magical shards is actually absurd 

Also stop adding more crap that needs Magical Shards. make somthing new stop being lazy.

Outside of removing Magial Shards completely from the game (which would solve all these issues), these proposed changes would definetly help. It adds value to many value-less items on the market and creates an economy for magical shard items. Since I doubt the shards will ever be removed, these suggestions should be implemented! +1 great post. 

They are not going to do anything, BMC are sitting on market in KR, so the problem for PA doesn't exist

I guess if you can not buy it maybe go out and gather it i have plenty and i never broought any it playing the game 

Great answer, I'm just gonna go spend about 150+ hours grinding DSR to get BMC. You need 1500 for crystal upgrades, 200 for single kabua set upgrade, 200 for 4 lightstines, 600 for new crystals and tons of them for literally everything. When I can already grind top end zones in edania. We could have had this argument IF PA didn't introduce 5% cap to FORCE PEOPLE OUT OF THESE SPOTS. People like you can't see beyond the end of one's nose. I guess PA shouldn't fix anything like vells shortage or past forst fury or anything, because JUST GET IT LOL. 

They can definitely tune things a little bit, both in terms of requirements and sources.

Reminder that you can trade Alchemy Seals for shards.  I'm sure there are enough people sitting on seals to feed the market.

Brother, you must be trolling. EU has almost 600k po and NA has 875k, thats 24 mil and 35 mil of alchemy seals respectively, I would bet entire servers do not have that much of them collectively, especially when imperial alchemy has been litearal dog for so long. And thats only to fullfill current PO's. PA showed with edania and 0 BCM drop while requiring THOUSANDS of them that they cannot be trusted (and now with 300 per new crystal lol), there is no logical reason why anyone would sell them, Im surprised there are any sold but current 600k PO stand while there are about 100k sold DAILY on average, and people who are selling them will probably regret it in future UNLESS PA adds new BIG source of BCM to the game, like lower sycria, but it would have to drop 100s of them per hour, or they should cut the requirements on everything with magical shard by factor of 10.
