Yeah, pet feeding doesn't make any sense, it is very cheap and just a routine job that you have to do.
Agreed. Pet feeding used to be required a long time ago when pets had to be leveled up, but now pet levels have been removed and feeding them by going to a stable keeper to buy cheep feed is an unecessary chore.
As for loot speed, most people just leave it on agile (red) and forget about it. We need even faster pets anyway in 2026.

I agree old game system no longer relevant kind of a pointless thing to have to upkeep in the current game.
Pet feeding is obsolete, remove it please. If PA wants to keep a use for feed, they could have it be useable to increase chances for pets to gain tier.
Think of pet hunger/stam as pet durability. You have the ability to increase the pet pick up speed which causes them to lose their "durability" faster, much like using an alch stone will use its "durability" so you need to refill it.
If you eliminate pet feeding, then you would always have pets out 24/7 and always have them on the fastest pickup speed the whole time. It would make the whole system obsolete.
The multiple different levels of pet food is probably irrelevant now since there aren't pet levels, so condensing into one type of pet food makes sense.

That's what we are talking about, the entire system is obsolete and should be removed. Also, with the new stronger star's end, the pet looting problem reared its ugly head again, the spot can be grinded faster than 5 agile pets can loot. I wonder how long will it take to address this issue.

If you are running one T5 pet and 4 T4 pets you should instantly loot items.

They do, for the most part, instantly loot... sometimes, though, the speed at which I'm moving versus speed of pickup causes some issues. Mainly because I think pets need a larger range to pick things up. When I kill the manticore, I'll often stand right next to it... the mob the spawns furthest away gets killed by the manticore and it's loot light thing just sits there. I have to move around the pedastal a little bit before my pet grabs it. So that's another issue related to range. Wider grabbing range would be helpful. I can live though. I mean... i just have to move my character like 3 meters to get the pick-up lol.

Doesn't change the core complaint where other games do similar better. If you want the closest example: Lost Ark. You just need the pet out and everything drops into your bag, regardless of the distance. You still need to feed it, but distance and pick up timers are a non-factor. You killed it, you get the loot. It's. So. Simple. No animation of the pet, no timers involved, no useless, bloated, extra coding for an inferior system. Keep the pet out. Keep it fed. Profit.
'it's almost like it's a mechanic that needlessly adds to the serverload just so they can go "oops you missed some stuff" which net benefits them at the cost of your game doing more unoptimized [crap]' - Insight from some guy I know.
