I killed Ferrid, My pet was low stamina and did not pick up but I did not realize it. I went to the next boss and realized the PET was not fed. I went back to Ferrid and the loot was no longer there.

Pet feeding takes extremely minimal effort. 

its unessasary in the  current game its a pointless extra thing we need to manage. no reason to exist

Check that your pets are out.

Make sure pets are fed.

Turn on alch stone.

Check your lightstones.

Check your reforges.

Check your guild buffs.

Check that you repaired your gear.

Check you're in the right pve spec.

Horse buff.

Check fairy buffs.

Turn on fairy.

Look at your screen trying to figure out what you're forgetting.

Ok, go ahead and start to grind.

If they can remove stuff from the list, I'm all for them removing stuff from the list.

I suppose it's different for me. Checking all the things before grinding takes like 15 seconds and is a short enough checklist that I can handle it... and not annoying enough that I demand changes. I'm not saying it can't be improved. 

I have two combat characters and their settings are relatively static. An auto-feed pets from inventory would be nice. Also, it'd be nice if specific pet set could be assigned to specific characters. Something I always forget to do is switch from life skill related pets to combat skill related pets... because I have two combat-focused characters that are tagged to each other... everyone else is a life-skiller.

Its fine if they have an auto feed function, it would also be fine if the all-in-one was actually good and clear.
