I wanted to finish catching all the fish with "carp" in their name. All I have left in Title Info is "crucian carp guru."
Wouldn't you be upset when the latest patch notes mentioned a nerf to this fish? The reason is that the catch rate is too high.
For me, it was a maximum of 3 carp per 10 hours. A truly reprehensible number, so a penalty had to be imposed.
This nerf clearly states: don't catch fish in holes like Calpheon, only in official fishing spots.
Because the sight of hundreds of people crowded onto a small patch of beach looks impressive and soothes the souls of developers.
So I'm giving up on title fishing challenges altogether.
It's a waste of time and there's no benefit!

Yeah, I think I still make more money at Velia Beach, especially after the nerf.  PA think's we're supposed to make up the difference with Ranchu because it is so expensive, but I catch enough Silver Beltfish at Velia to compensate.

Guess they want to smack down Calpheon for whatever reason.  They make it's church look greedy and grasping by Cliff's comments at Olvia Academy.... Plus the Mad King Seric, his daughter being twisted, and the Council being no better..... the best people are morally neutral pragmatic capitalists.....

Calpheon is the bastion of evil and greed: why would we want to fish there?........

The fish that was nerfed was the red grade White crucian carp. There is only 1 title for that like all the reds they added and you get it on the first catch. You are talking about the green grade fish which most green blue yellow grades have 3 titles. The nerf doesn't affect that fish at all. I don't know if that one is also in calph tho. 

Now the nerf was needed cause u legit could have insane nights at calph but they nerfed it too hard when you lucky to clear 4-500m a night there now 

The Crucian Carp that gives the Guru title is a green fish and it's found in the Balenos River (the one near Western Guard Camp)

Almost a week since the nerf: no ranchu and about 12 crucian carp in total.........

Yeah, Calpheon's numbers could be tweaked again, and Plump Coelacanth should be added to take the edge off all the crap fish caught here.....
