Pets are a big money income for PA.
If thay is changed to a autolooting then there should be some big price for it. Which would then make veteran players rage quit as they habe spent lot of money and time on minmaxing pets.
Increasing pet count or speed is one option which PA would like. But compressing loot into smaller sizes would be best option for players. Right now there are zones where mobs drop tens of thousands of trahs per hour.
PA would not lose money on autoloot if they made it contingent on having 1 T5 pet and 4 T4 pets out. Tier is the important part for pet looting speed after all. As I understand it, the system where pets run back and forth looting contributes to lag, so making autoloot possible would help with server stability as well.
Pets can still be a valubale stat-sick without having looting tied to them.
Agree. As OP and people said above:
- invisible sea loot solved
- not being forced to stand and wait for loot even with maxed pets
- may improve sever performance
- pets can still improve other stats.
As a mid solution: They could tie autoloot to the T5 pet or a condition like T5 and four T4 pets.

One seconf thought, yes
Autolooting would help with the lag
But bigger help would be to remove biggest grind money factor. Many players has the needed gear, but they lack in pets and are unable to get all needed loot for average incomes.
Making looting automated and pets just extra stats then all players will have same looting and no worries pf lacking in grinds
Pets not being able to loot fast enough was the main reason we got so many tower spots, isn't it? That and lazy grinding. Increasing the number of pets is the most brute force solution. Could have autolooting tied to a tier 6 pet upgrade, similar to tier 5. Maybe you need to smash together multiple tier 4/5 pets to get it. I didn't remember this was a problem until I left to do tungrad lol
This is one of those luxury things that "elite-gamers"* often have issues with, that their own personal gaming experience isn't "optimized"**.
Unfortunately all the things that have been baked into the core mechanisms of this game, have all been made to delay the players leaving the server, basically having the most people online for the longest was the goal.
The problem with asking for more and more of these "Quality-of-life"*** changes is; changing the core gaming experience, which leads to what has been happening over the last few years, making the game a lot easier for newcomers, which is great for newcomers, but not so much for the people who have been toiling away at this game for years (myself not included since I am an extremely casual gamer).
I can empathize with both parties, and I do see the benefits from those who ask for more challenges (actually adding in-game content resembling how the game started out), and those who ask for more easy-gaming (practically where you don't have to do much at all).
This is a luxury problem however, and having to spend 2-3 seconds standing still in the puddle of loot you've created, is not a huge demand made of players, also it was devised this way so some players could effectively "steal" (not really stealing when someone doesn't pick it up) loot from others who didn't slow down to pick up their own loot.
*When I say "elite-gamers" I mean to say; people who are so terribly competitive, that they bring that into computer games and forget that they are supposed to be having a good time while playing. They also have a tendancy to get extremely upset with other players, and generally Not good at teamworking, since they rely exclusively (usually) on themselves.
**When I say "optimized" I mean to say; something I have heard "elite-gamers" say often, with regards to how much time they feel they Have to spend playing a game, versus how much progress they feel they have had in that time-span.
***When I say "Quality-of-life" in this particular instance I mean to say; what I have heard from other gamers about how the game has certain features, that essentially make the game faster to play (again seems to be about time spent versus progress) or easier to play, and not the Factual use that sentence; which is tied to how humans should keep a minimum standard for how humans should be treated in life, and how they actually live their lives.
