Right now, fishing is lame in most places, other than Velia Beach, as rates of catching anything but trash fish and relics are super low.

Even if you're lucky enough to catch a decent red-grade fish, you can't catch them often enough to justify you're stay at any of these places.

Ancient Relic Crystal Shards are now so worthless, it's better to catch blue grade fish in comparison.

Why would players dump billions of silver into Fishing Mastery if it just increases their rate of catching relics?  Fishing Mastery is only good at Velia Beach, where you have three different types of red-grade fish being caught with such frequency as to justify continual fishing there.  Luck does play a part, but it's consistant enough to keep players happy.

Everywhere else, you have to wait three days to three weeks to get a pay-out fish, and the value is about the same or less than what you'd be getting from Velia Beach's consistency.

In conclusion, all places should have consistent silver comperable to Velia Beach.  I don't want to fish at places based on how valuable the fish is: I want to fish at places for their vibe.  I want to be able to know my time is worth it, if I want to fish here, there, anywhere......  So, all places should have three types of red-grade fish, to make things consistent and balanced.

Peace and Freedom to all

Recently there was a patch where Red Fishes was added in other locations too:
https://www.naeu.playblackdesert.com/en-US/News/Detail?groupContentNo=9706&countryType=en-US

Like Pink Dolphin into Grana river and Rainbow Fish into Valencia City lake.

They are much bigger than Velia Beach reds, but they are fairly rare. I am currently trying few long term testings on the Red Fishes.

I am getting about 6 red fishes per 10hrs in Velia Beach = ave 0,3-3bil/week from reds (if 10hrs per day for 7days)
And in Grana i pull 1-4 Pink Dolphins per week (with 10hr fish loops) = 1-4bil/week from reds (if 10hrs per day for 7days)

Higher fishing mastery has the following benefits:
- Greater chance of catching Prize Fish
- Higher chance of catching Prize Fish when Harpooning
- Higher chance of obtaining Ancient Relic Crystal Shards

Relic Shards has the somewhat value for Memory Fragments,
Market EU = about 30k in stock with 1.8mil/pc
Market NA = about 0 in stock with 1.3mil/pc

From Pansy's video on Relic summons (7months ago)
He got about 1000 memos/hr
So that would be 1.3-1.8 bil silver in value of Memory Fragments alone, there are other loot aswell so could say that 2bil/hr by duing relics. Which is not bad and can be fun in a group setting.

Velia Beach has 2 big cons
- Plump Coelecant currency fishes, which takes some of the fish pull ups and they wont hold much of value after you buy all items.
- Exhausted resources, which much slower fishing speed than other areas. Valencia City is Average i think and Grana is Abundant most of times

I suggest you to visit Maomao fishing discord for deeper view on fishing aswell they can give more hints and ideas where to afk fish for money or other stuff.

Thanks for the statistics, but still, the inclusion of Ancient Relic Crystal Shards in the "Prize Catch" category really needs to be revisited.  Their value tanked 90% in the last year, and Memory Fragments have halved their value in the past year.  Sure, you can fight the bosses to get the fragments, but the fights get stale very quickly.  If they summoned many different bosses, that might be a different story.

Also, the Plump Coelecanth isn't in the "Prize" category, and it's being in the table greatly reduces the crap fish caught at Velia.  The only issue would be if it interferes with other yellow grade fish, but the catch rate of yellow is high at Velia.  Which makes no sense to me, as fishing tables should be equal everywhere and should only be based off Mastery.

But, PA shows favoritism and funnels players to certain locations that they want us to be in, for whatever reason.  I'd rather fish where I want to, and be rewarded for doing so with consistency, not just luck.  This is a sandbox game and the world is to be ours to utilize to make somthing of ourselves.  Things should be more equalized and balanced.  But, due to their inability to balance, there's only a couple places to fish and fight in this massive, beautiful world that make you feel like your time is well spent, and you're not wondering if you should be somewhere else.

And that frustrates me.

Dear PA:

Thanks for adding more fish to Duvencrune and Altinova.  I'm thinking that your slow forward creep on this issue must be due to careful planning, calculation and thoughtful execution.  Hopefully these places draw more players from the vast open world to try them out and maybe find a new, fresh take on fishing and hopefully make as much money as they used to at other locaions.

Meanwhile Calpheon and Heidel will be lost and forgotten again.  My sister caught one white crucian carp in a 24 hour period yesterday.  She asked me: why am I even fishing here?  I told her that for now, while pearls are still dropping and high catch rate is desirable right now, she should continue to fish there but return to Velia Beach once the pearls no longer drop.

Seriously, I shouldn't have to say this.

PA: you need to work on BALANCE.  You know why fishing is so bad in Calpheon and Heidel, escpecially Calpheon?  90% of catches are blue and green fish.  50 green fish are woth a million silver (nothing in todays hyper-inflated economy) and 5 blue are woth a million...... Any prize catch is an Ancient Relic Crystal Shard, which are effectively worthless now.  At least in Heidel, half the green grades are supplanted by Coelecanth, which are 5 times their value, and they can be kept forever.  Calpheon has not that advantage.

Please, make all fishing spots equally worthwhile.  For those places that you have to wait once a week, or once ever three for they payout fish, let there be 2 milllion silver red grade fishes dropping in place of relics.  That'd be worth something at least.  That would make the billions dumped into improving mastery worth something.

Nothing even comes close to Velia. Calph was better for a couple weeks before nerf now it's easily 1/2-1/3 of Velia. I tried alti this morning. I did catch a hammerfish and like 7 covinas/bat stars but the lack of yellews and even blues vs Velia it won't even come close. I won't bother trying Grana/Valencia. You would legit need a pinky or rainbowfish like every 4th day to keep up with Velia. They don't know how to even things out to draw players away from Velia.

So, I've been staying in Calpheon ever since the last fishing event, and will stay here during this month to maximize pearls drops, since the fish level is abundant.  Here's how I've been averaging over the past few weeks:

5-6 White crucian carp a day,

2 Ranchu over three weeks

At Velia Beach, I would average:

12-16 Yellow Corvina per day.

4-8 Blue Bat Stars per day,

2-4 Silver Beltfish every two days.

Double the amount of yellow grade fish.

Half the crap is Plump Coelecanth.

Obivously, Velia is superior.

My brother has been fishing around.  He tried Heidel for a day, and caught no red fish.  He fished in Duvencrune for a day, caught four White Crucian Carp.  No too shabby.  He's in Valencia right now and over a day, he has caught nothing but Pacu.  No red fish in sight.

Dear PA:  Consistency matters to us.  Make every place as consistent as Velia.  I would average 1 billion silver every day.  After a day's fishing in Calpheon and Duvencrune, it seems we get half a billion dailly.  Grana, Heidel and Valencia per day, maybe .1 billion.  Sure, if you hand around for a couple of weeks, you might get lucky.  Or you might have to wait a month for a fish worth 5-10 billion.  That's not balanced.  No wonder Velia Beach is still bursting at the seams.
