Please add a feature allowing players to “Soft Lock” skills in the Skill menu UI.

What this feature would do:

“Soft Locking” would allow skills currently usable when on cooldown to be “Soft Locked” preventing it from being cast while on cooldown. This would give players the ability to prevent skills from being used while on cooldown both via keybind and hotkey but otherwise function normally, allowing more control over their playstyle in both PVE and PVP.

Most skills in BDO usable while on cooldown do reduced damage and lose protection when cast on cooldown leading to situations in PVE where you cast an ability a fraction of a second too early resulting in damage loss, loss of protection, or loss of ability to combo into other skills (see Seraphs Combo skills).  on the other hand some skills also need to be usable on cooldown for movement, addon upkeep and debuffing mobs

In PVP if you use one of these skills while on cooldown a fraction of a second early it usually results in death… there are many reasons this can happen including: player input (I know git good), hit accel, server desync (we have all see our skill cooldowns tick up at least once) or general chaos on the battlefield.

This feature would give players (of all levels) the ability to manage their skill-cooldowns a bit easier improving the new player (or new class) experience and learning curve of some classes without requiring immaculate cooldown management at all times in PVE and especially PVP.

all that being said please just let me soft lock my movement skills so when I get hit accelerated in PVP I don’t double cast dash unprotected… thanks
