I understand that the writers, narrative designers, and developers work really hard to creat the story of the game, but I believe that once a player has copleted the story a couple times exploring all crossroads, they should have the option to skip it entirely when creating a new character. I know there is already an option to chose a simplified store when creating a character (which is somthing like leveling a character to 60), but that's not exactly what I'm suggesting. My idea is that once a family/account has complelted 2 or more playthroughs and obtained the knowledge of both crossroads, they should have the option to talk to the Black Spirit to skip that storyline. This quest would mark the entire storyline for that region/area as completed for that character and also award any combat and skill EXP they would have recieved. This would mike it easier for new players to switch classes with less penalty, and also allow veteran players to quickly pick up a new class. Additionally, since PA is reworking some of the older quest, they could move all reginal side quest into the Suggested tab under the questing page, and have those do the same thing (either as their own quest or maybe as a crossroads or upgraded quest for that region/area). Just a small note for balancing, the quest from the Black Spirit wouldn't count towards the completed quest count; including the ones the Black Spirit would mark off. This is just a draft--please comment below with any suggestions, and i can edit or make a new post with an updated suggestion (If this is well recieved).
