The shorts in the previous outfit were better quality; the shorts in the current outfit are clearly terrible. They have low resolution and show the leg openings.
The previous outfit was definitely worth it. The only flaw in this current outfit is the shorts. With the old ones, you could even see the underwear, and I even bought two of those! Anyway, I hope they improve the outfits because that's why I'm still playing this game, not because of all the weapon items they keep giving away.
