Using family name in chat.

Not 100% sure what you mean but if you want to see peoples family names instead of their character names in chat you simply press enter to open the chat and infront of your chat bar you can select if family or character names are displayed.
Because of that you cant choose if your character or family name appears in somebody elses chat.
